I would say increasing the scope and impact of your decision making as you become more senior. Junior will be code-wide, team lead will be team-wide and CTO's decision will be business and organizational wide.

I’m really interested in specializing in accessibility when I get to the senior level - either as a specific job title/role or as the go to dev on the team for accessibility requirements. My former career was in special ed (eg dyslexia, mental health, gifted, adhd, ..) and I did a lot of adaptive Ed tech. Also my mom is visually impaired. What is your/your colleague’s experience with accessibility? It sounds like you get a fair bit included in your consulting work.

At 7:39 you say that someone can take around 2 to 3 years to go from junior to senior level developer... That's either true only on a very specific context (country maybe?) or it's plain misinformation. I'm graduated and got 7 years of experience and are considered "mid-level" here in Brazil. Maybe the bar is too high here? Yeah, maybe, but if you're reading this and considering changing jobs because of the salary ranges you see on the internet, don't expect it to be that easy or that fast. It's definitely not about how much time you've been working, but HOW you STUDY to learn and master new tech and WHAT you study to grow up in your tech career.
