You should check out the Reigning Champ down puffer for your winter jacket vid. The specs on it are insane pretty insane and the price point is surprisingly low for what it is. I had a pair of mystery thrift store Carhartt pants that had the triple stich on the legs and never had any comfort issues. Eventually they got ripped up and now exist as 4" shorts and I spend the summers looking like one of the Village People, highly recommend.

I live my Carhartt jacket. Would I have bought it had it not been a gift? Probably not, but I’m glad I have it. In addition to the tough seams, the interior pockets are angled so they sit upright if you’re operating a forklift (or just driving n a car), making them easily accessible from a seated position. The brand is a bit too pricey for actual workwear (the folks I know in construction prefer Duluth or just a big ass Patriots hoodie) but if you just want a long lasting jacket, you could do a lot worse. PS) I don’t think you mentioned this but before Levi’s did their major marketing push into workwear, duck canvas was the preferred material to work in before denim took over.
