2-3 rangers are killed per week? Where did he get that stat from? The authority stat I've seen says 1 per fortnight.

Carhartt, like other companies that make working men's clothes, has been co-opted by LARPing yuppies.

This is exactly the content I've been looking for in this world of fast fashion and brand clothes that start to pill after a couple washes. Just wanted to say thanks for doing what you do!

My experience with Uniqlo is that they don't last very long. I've not had their t-shirts, but I've had their jeans and their underwear - the quality of the latter is, in my view, atrocious. They lose shape and any firmness in perhaps five washes and are just unpleasant to wear after. The fabric also wears down. Asket is a different beast in that category, I bought five pairs which have been in constant rotation for close to two years now and no signs of wear + form is still the same as new.

All honesty though cotton is terrible material for abrasion resistant, I wonder how these fair against dedicated motorcycle pants made with Kevlar

Then he says those jeans look like some kind of emergency balloon product and make me look like a woman, I don’t care how much text exists to describe them another way. And wears the Uniqlo ones until his girlfriend tears them off him.

Uniqlo is kinda awful. I bought a 30 dollar shirt from them and got two uses out of it before it shrunk to an unusable state. The shirts I got from target were way better quality for half the price.

I don't understand why some don't seem to get that the 880 $ jeans isn't workwear and that it isn't being presented as such? Of course its not worth it if you purely want a durable work jean (I'm pretty certain the low tension weave of the $800 jean would fail relatively quickly during physical labour). It has more similarities to artwork than a pair of Wrangler MWZ 13s. People are paying so much for the craftsmanship, the heritage, the materials, the complex dyeing +weaving, etc. Also exclusivity.
