It is primarily a question of whether you're willing to critique or fight capitalism. It's greed and maximising profits at any cost that are destructive. Money does not bleed, or feel, or go hungry. Animals and people do. No matter what the food chain you're part of is like, there shouldn't be needless suffering (like animal abuse, human exploitation, or toxic chemicals).

As a key component of the perpetuation of oppression, all alienation must be destroyed. As long as we can ignore the suffering in the slaughterhouse, in the vivisection lab, we can ignore the conditions of the third world, the urban ghetto, child labor, human traffic, etc Animals are less than humans not by nature, but by active dehumanization, a process by which people consciously deprive animals of their value. Human exploitation and consumption of animals are facilitated by alienation. People couldn't live the way they do - at the expense of animal suffering - if they understood the real effects of such consumption It is absurd to think that a society that oppresses non-human animals can become a society that does not oppress humans. Recognizing the animal oppression then becomes a prerequisite for radical social change. The humans who are abused tend to mistreat others, and animals are among the easiest victims. This exposes yet another reason why those concerned about the welfare of animals must combat social oppression. The inability to speak or reasoning "intelligently" does not subject infants or people with severe mental retardation at the violence that millions of non-humans suffer daily Everything in our society,today it tells us that we "need" drugs and meat. What we really need is to destroy that kind of society.

Subgroup analyses of anxiety showed a higher risk of anxiety, mainly in participants under 26 years of age and in studies with a higher quality. More studies with better overall quality are needed to make clear positive or negative associations.” Vegetarian diet and mental disorders: results from a representative community survey “Vegetarians displayed elevated prevalence rates for depressive disorders, anxiety disorders and somatoform disorders. Due to the matching procedure, the findings cannot be explained by socio-demographic characteristics of vegetarians (e.g. higher rates of females, predominant residency in urban areas, high proportion of singles). The analysis of the respective ages at adoption of a vegetarian diet and onset of a mental disorder showed that the adoption of the vegetarian diet tends to follow the onset of mental disorders.” The studies conclude nothing for sure, but the likely theory is due to deficiencies.

Most of the air you breathe comes from the ocean 🌊 🤣
@JamesSmith-jq2jc3 жыл бұрын
IF, oxygen comes from the ocean, maybe that's the next mess we should examine. Oceans are very polluted and getting worse daily. I think currently japan is dumping nuclear contaminated water into it from their wrecked nuclear plants from years ago. Think of all the nuclear waste and other contaminants dumped illegally into them. We've also nuclear submarines and their weapons down there rusting away. Well, I personally feel we'll all be killed by a biological weapon, this PLANdemic was just the social engineering phase. Most will take the LIABILITY FREE vaccines without thinking. They could spray us all in their Geoengineering aircraft around the world, I wonder what they're spraying, is it really to help ???? I know every tree around me looks very poorly. Covered in all kinds of different molds or whatever. It's a shame no one cares by me, but HEY, maybe your favorite sports team is winning, gotta love the distractions of " bread and circus ".

Animal-eaters have no right to make any comments about animal cruelty.
@ZacksRockingLifestyle2 жыл бұрын
Uh, we do. Rights are inherent and, depending on whom you ask, god-given. On top of that, more animals die to produce plant products than animals die to produce animal products. Pesticides, insecticides, and rodenticides, anyone? How about the animals caught in the harvesters? What about the animals that get shot for trying to eat the crops being grown? One cow can feed a person for around a year. That’s one death. Just because you do not consume animals does not mean that you are not responsible for deaths. You’re just responsible for wasteful deaths that you don’t have to look at.

@ZacksRockingLifestyle2 жыл бұрын
No, not in the long-term. Dogs, cats, and humans are obligate hyper-carnivores, meaning greater than 70% of their diet needs to come from animal sources for optimal nutrition. If you want your dog, cat, or self, to live your best life, eat no/few plants. Best health of my life, and further improving every day.

Do humans claim to have a higher moral than hawks? Does hawks have moral? I would say most hawks have high moral than some humans. At least hawks do not systematically, intentionally kill each other. Yeah, mind telling me how? Even the scientists are failing to scale it up. If lab grown meat is what we were supposed to eat, why’s it so hard? How did we survive so long? Do you really think that we ever would have made it to this point if our most optimal diet was not long discovered? It’s the muscle meat and associated fats from large ruminant animals, with occasional spats of organ if we want. Our brains have shrank since the agricultural revolution. Our brains got big after we started eating (and later cooking) meat… then, we cut back on meat, and they got smaller. Hm.

The simple answer: No. It would be much more ethical to have sexual intercourse with animals, even harmless. Just like most sexuality is harmless and doesn't cause harm to other living beings or the environment. Moral and 'ethic' is something created by society over time and tradition, it has nothing to do with what is actually harmlful , harmless or horrible. For example is it ethical to castrate our dogs and cats and keep them in a closed space or even in an appartment their entire lifes? Of course not, it is horrible. They have social and sexual needs just as much (or even more strongly during mating season) than we do. It is a horrible what we do with animals completely legally. Industrial mass production is even worse where animals have no space to often even move and have to stand on metal floors or bars their entire lifes.
