When entertainers could actually sing without a fake mic.

Hello PC, As an OG Carpenters fan myself, I’m a little older than you. I was 14 in 1970 when I bought Close To You to start my serious album collection. I hope KZbin doesn’t erase this like it did to a reply. I know a lot of those reactors. For the young ones, I’m glad they are discovering. So much of today’s music is autotuned/pitch corrected, it’s disheartening. I’m going to link a 21 your old who isn’t. She’s also a Carpenters super-fan and collector. A 21 year old, she’s been this way since at least 17 probably before. She has covered Carpenters songs in short videos and long form audio and videos. And also many songs of the era, she’s an old soul. The song I’m going to link was sung by Karen when she was 20 and by Tori Holub when she was 20. The producer of the video found her just like I did one year ago. KZbin algorithms said, you may like THIS! His epiphany happened in February of this year. He had his Carpenters songs project on hold as his lead singer had unexpectedly passed away. So it sat, unfinished. Then Tori happened. There’s more to the story but I just want you to see, sometimes serendipity happens. And we can have hope. The song is; We’ve Only Just Begun, by James Wilkas and ft. Tori Holub. It was released on March 2, 2024, Karen’s birthday. Enjoy. Joe kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGqYnZmAptRsjLssi=Tn-bMylwMZtzVOjH .

EVERYTHING about The Carpenters is excellent I'm certain their music would be as loved by today's 'youth' as Aurora is, if they were exposed to any two of their songs
