Yesssssssssss. Hello spirit buddy! Ok. The very reason it took me 13 years to buy another cartier bracelet was exactly that reason. I kept thinking of how else I could use the money. And all that cash for ONE item??? But every year on my birthday, I’d be drawn to it and always shun it and then, this year, my husband suggested that we all go in on it. So it became a group purchase haha and I’m thrilled. Just as thrilled with the converse by the way. Haha. They rock. 🥰

Happy Birthday! I don’t think I could have one I never take off. I never take off my wedding rings. But other than that I don’t wear much jewelry. I always did growing up and as a teen and young adult. When I started working as a nurse I started in the Nicu and you could wear no jewelry because the babies are so fragile. Then later I moved to Trauma ICU which is always on a level 1 trauma Center which is always in the worst parts of any town lol. But I certainly would never change that! I love it. But not a great place to flaunt bling!

Oh my goodness, Veronica. I hear you. My father is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. He is entirely devoted to my mother but but but can no longer even wear his wedding band. He would have to remove it to scrub and constantly lose it or for a million other reasons in the hospital. He finally just had to abandon it all together. So I totally hear you. Btw, you angels in the NICUs and ICUs are the true superheroes on this planet. 💕

I also, like you, don't like to take off my jewelry but i will not wear it for 13 yrs straight either! lol! maybe every few weeks. so that's one problem, the other is that i prefer fluid bracelets, like chain link styles not bangle style, and this with the screw and all is a bit claustrophobic for me. so i'm thinking of getting a watch instead! but the gold is out of budget and to pay 5k for steel watch is something i've been considering.... for years! lol! what do you think? Helllllloooo Annie. Yes. That’s the only Coco M that I can wear too and yet it’s toooo light. I like that I can’t possibly overdo it but it’s also gone in an hour. I realize you’re supposed to sleep in it but nah. Haha. Yes. You are in good company finding the love bracelet constrictive. Many get that claustrophobic feeling even thinking of screwing something onto their wrist. Oh their watches are so lovely. But everything at Cartier has gotten so ridiculously expensive. It never used to be THAT bad before. Same with Chanel bags. Now it’s like choose a home or a Chanel bag. You can’t have both. Hahahaha. 💕

Divine!!! So happy you turned 23 in style!!! 🥰😘🎈🎂🎁🥂🤩 Soon it will be my turn. I can’t wear anything on my wrist, ever. I look ridiculous if I try and, believe me, I have been trying for decades (I can wear elastics for ponytails, though!! 😂) My wrists are too small; it’s something genetic. Normally, adults don’t have my size wrists, no matter how skinny or how young. My wrists are child-size (thanks, mom!!) and I have tried SO hard to find things that fit and look cute... well, they don’t. They don’t fit and never look cute; always too big. If it fits, it still looks odd. Even when I put on some weight, the wrists remain underdeveloped!!! Oh well!!!! BUT on you, my beautiful, these bracelets are beyond gorgeous!!! 😍😍🤩🤩🥰🥰 How classic and how stunning!! Also, you are THE BEST storyteller in the whole world!! I could listen to you tell a story about you or Cartier or anything else for daaaaays, for months, for years, forever. When I bought the first bracelet all those years ago, they had to special order that size. All the others literally fell off me to the floor. The one size larger I have now would be a tight cuff on most people when with my, ahem, extra, ahem, two pounds, it’s still slipping around. I have child hands and feet. Hey, it makes us feminine!!! We are small and mighty. I remember I was never able to enjoy all the bangle bracelets so popular a while back because they literally were my neck size, not my wrist size. No one understands how we suffer!!! 💕

I missed your birthday, gorgeous, but happy belated anyway!! Stunning bracelets and they suit you so well. I've only just become a bit more interested in jewellery....I am a doctor and so am not allowed to wear any for most of my life (hygiene reasons LOL), and in my spare time I run a LOT, but the pandemic has led to a few more online and phone consults so I've started to dabble....no big stuff yet, I have some Loren Stewart and Anine Bing. I have to get used to having things on my body again!!

Ah yes!! You can’t wear jewelry very well when you’re a doctor. We have an ICU nurse, Veronica, as part of our community here who says the same thing. And my father famously had to ditch his wedding ring, tho he’s devoted to my mother, because he’d lose it every time he would scrub for surgery. So I totally understand. You def can’t do something that is locked to your wrist! But, agreed, it’s fun to dabble in jewelry a bit here and there. Becomes another rabbit hole to get lost down! Haha. 💕

I like the idea of getting one love bracelet larger than the other. I actually went into a store right around when the mini love bracelet was introduced and tried it on along with my regular love bracelet and they put on one that was the same size and it gave a chunky look that I did not like and hence didn’t end up buying....but what you showed may be more appealing to me!!

Yes! Exactly Marcia! And it was my sales associate who told me. He said you can avoid the huge cuff look by going up a size and it works. Warning that it CAN scratch the smaller sized one a tad but my original bracelet is already very well worn and I can’t even tell if it’s getting scuffed at all. Doesn’t seem to be. 💕

Oh. My. Goodness. It’s a big dilemma!!!!! Depends on your wrist size. Have you tried them on yet? When you try them on and walk around the store comparing the two, then you’ll know. That’s so exciting. They’d both be beautiful. You can’t make a mistake. 💕 And you’d have to decide if you want the bracelet to fit snugly or kind of fall slightly down the wrist a bit. You’ve got some trying on to do. 😊 how fun.

Oh no! I had hoped trying them on would tell you. And I can see exactly why you’re stuck between the two!!!! Plus it feels like diamonds in the smaller is a good compromise in not getting plain larger bracelet. Did the diamonds show well in the thin band? I bet they did. How are you going to decide? Good decision to have, I know, but still a decision!!! 💕

Such a great question. These are holding up so well. My white gold is now, yikes, about 15 years old!!! And it’s the original thicker one. The rose gold is only coming up on two years now so the comparison would be lacking. But lemme tell you, they both look great. The material is so nice and heavy. They’re both still shiny and I am not gentle with them at all.

Hello! I've never re-plated the white gold bracelet that I've owned for, wow, now 14 years. It's gotten a bit dinged up but I've never had to do anything to it and it's been on my wrist every day.

Happy Birthday! Are you happy and satisfied with no diamonds? How about the white gold you got, are you satisfied with the size? I’m confused which one to get. The classic size or the small/thinner version... HELP! 😜

It’s such a dilemma!!! I agree. Ok. I have some thoughts. Originally, if money were no object, I would have wanted diamonds in the thinner band. But, unfortunately, that was just out of my price range. So I abandoned that. Decision was kind of made for me in that regard. I think, if you have no love bracelet at all and you can start with the original size, it’s a classic for a reason. The original is always a good choice. Diamonds or not becomes a price issue. Ideally, original size with diamonds. Unaffordable? Then original no diamonds. Choosing favorite gold color. If stacking, then add thinner in different gold. Diamonds preferable but only if affordable. Sizing is totally wearers choice. I liked when my original fit a tad looser. Just hung a bit more. But I’ve put on some weight over the years so it’s gotten a bit tighter. Not uncomfortably so. Just in fit. Most people start with 17. So now I have 16 and 17 but I have very tiny wrists even now. Most people would likely start at 17 and stack to 18. Does that help at all? Ask any other questions if I was confusing. ❤️

I've actually been wanting to ask you about your cartier bracelet. I didn't know anything about them until now except that they seemed to be some kind of status symbol on youtube (all the big and/or rich youtubers seem to have them). I wasn't sure how to ask about it though in case I offended you. But I'm really glad you posted this video explaining the history of them. I have one question though, years ago I bought a really cheap knock off of these bracelets (I didn't even know at the time what it was a knock off of, I just liked the bracelet) and when it was delivered and I put it on, the screw dug into my arm quite significantly and it hurt to wear so I ended up throwing it away ages ago. That doesn't happen with the real ones right? I mean I wouldn't think so, but it can't hurt to ask anyway

I'm so glad you asked. And you can always ask. I would never be offended! I didn't even realize they had become such a youtube status symbol. Haha. Correct. The actual Cartier bracelet is entirely smooth across the connecting screw. It doesn't even lift off the face of the bracelet so there's no irritation whatsoever. That must have been so irritating when that happened to you. And, exactly, I agree, these things get copied so much that sometimes we wear an imitation and don't even realize it's an imitation! Hello Diana! It’s so hard to have a December 25 birthday. It just always feels buried by the holiday. Ohhhhh the bracelet 13 years ago was literally half the price!!! Truly. I almost fainted when I heard what they cost now. The larger one, 13 years ago, was Half the price of the smaller one, I should add. Crazy!!!!! Goes along with the price of gold but still, it’s a wild increase! 💕
