(and you can find more example in tv trope's "Wipe that smile off your face" page) - The sailor robots i am sure there have been in occasional parodies. and planetheads.... okay i haven't seen one but maybe there are out there - What's a Humantaurus? I didn't really like *Jeannie* when I was a child (back in the 70s-80s) but I may give it another chance. ^_^ - The scenes with Nebula weren't too bad but it sounded like the actress (understandably) wasn't too keen on the idea. Either way, I'll give the TVTropes page a look. ^_^ - All the more reason that I shall continue my search. Thank you for your help, either way. ^_^ And to answer your question, just like a centaur has a horse body from the waist down, a humantaur has a second torso and pair of legs down there. Most artists draw these (types of) characters with four legs but one artist, Gamera1985, drew some with a smaller upper body from the neck up, making them awesome in their own right. ^_^ Here's hoping that more bizarre babes and other (semi-)original ideas are brought to anime-ted life someday. ^_^ (The sooner, the better, I say)

In all honesty as humans we are constantly trying to advance just about everything. I can see the reason for the sex robots, mainly guys or girls who seem to have trouble getting a "fish" to bite. But I also understand the concern for the whole thing sex robot to cause an abusive personality for lack of a better term. But with technological advancements come the good the bad and the darkish sides. I honestly see the interest of the sex robot, having someone/thing there at the ready for your every sexual need and desire. But I wouldn't use one, I would prefer the real thing cause there's something that is special when its two humans connecting at that level. Not saying wanting to bang a robot is wrong or anything, cause hey if that's your thing go right ahead. Just saying I see and understand both sides of the coin here.

Considering we have people encouraging women to withhold from sex to protest. It gives the impression that sex is a commodity that woman give and man recieve. Also with entertainment media giving the impression that woman are the gate keepers of sex. I can see why a doll would be more appealing to some. Not that I support the idea that sex is something a woman gives a guy. Infact I am against the idea. But if they are worried about that impression. They should stop using it when it suites them. Also this arguement wreaks of the video game debate again. "They kill digital people. It is only time before real people" the thing is, they don't think guys know the difference between a sex doll and a person. Which is insulting really. But I can see advance sex dolls becoming more preferrable in the future than humans. That would be my concern.

2:37 - EveR1 wasn't exhibited in Japan. It was created shortly after the Actroid (original version - there's been 5 Actroid-branded models released afterwards (with the latest being commercially available, but not very successful - a Japanese hotel chain that effectively used them as their marketing gimmick got rid of them because they sucked, and sadly not literally), plus several research projects done in collaberation with HIL). The Actroid was exhibited at iREX and looks quite a lot better than EveR1 does. Their followup models, notably the Actroid DER series, are some of the more realistic robots made since they have full upper body motion. It's also worth noting that you couldn't even try to get these robots in bed. Most of them are pneumatic and have fridge-sized metal boxes attached to them which contain the compressor as well as the control valves and control electronics. If you have any questions on these robots don't be afraid to ask me, I follow the scene rather closely.

Basically, it's like the manners of an apartment, maybe... Basic minimum rules to follow must be observed. Don't forget there were (and are) virtual girlfriend stuff - mainly Japan. Kept out of import to US market. Though per your last joke early computer animation/games/3d art had both "Virtual Valerie" and "Donna Matrix" - dated but pretty neat.
