The desire and drive to survive/ the fear of death and personal annihilation does not exist until a life is started and it is entirely reason enough to not impose existence onto new consciousness. Edit: Regarding that, "The world doesn't need more people." The world doesn't, but people have been raised to need and expect the labor, love, and virtue of others in order to feel real or altogether survive. As a whole, people feel entitled to other people to meet their own personal needs rather than striving to satisfy them themselves, and that's played a significant part in getting us into the mess we're in today.

Great insight. If we were on a defective ride at an amusement park, would the fun part be worth the ride if it breaks down at the end? Of course not, we would have been better off not to get on the ride in the first place. This world is a complete mismatch to our ethics, yet we keep trying to force the issue and make it work. Never has, never will. Perhaps A.I. can help us align our values with our actions.

You made the right decision not to have children. You have to be 3000% absolutely sure you want them, even half a doubt means it’s not right for you. @willpowerman8817Ай бұрын
To be a parent is to be in a constant state of worry for your child or children especially if you are not one of those naive "that will never happen to me " type of people. You have to hope your kid(s) doesn't pursue things that can harm themselves . You have hope they actually follow your advice for their own safety especially when they are teenagers and think they are right. You have to hope they don't have to learn the hard way from the errors of their ways .You question if they are truly happy and not suffering from depression or loneliness secretly. The list goes on. And the icing on the cake for a parent is that at any given moment you could d!£ and then your kid or kids would have to survive on their own especially if you were the only parent. So all along it is an illusion that you can 100% keep them safe as you can't even as a human guarantee your own safety

I think exactly the same way, if people had children out of vocation and with planning the world would be way better. I decided not to be a mother and that was the best decision of my life, even though I would most probably be a very caring one. Add to that the possibility of children coming with syndromes, having mental issues, involvement with drugs later in life... it's definitely not for me. Finally, there is also the issue that more people means more burden on the planet. 🌍
@RedPillOptionАй бұрын
Yeah plus there is the matter of them also ending up suffering a lot. The world is a messed up place.
@Calendula_3.6Ай бұрын
@@RedPillOption Indeed! That's why globally aware people like us need to find a way to avoid emotional rollercoasters. The only way out is to invest in the microcosm (self) and immediate surroundings (volunteering, for instance) instead of the macrocosm (wars, global pollution, migration issues, etc.). I believe that this, plus a pinch of stoicism, can make a huge difference. 🎉
@lpodverde7 күн бұрын
Even with planning, you cannot control chance. Actually you cannot control most things. So the child can still get a bad hand in life with regards to illness or disaster, accidents, violence from others etc.

@RedPillOptionАй бұрын
Yes and no. You’ll still be in the same situation because the child could still end up being a bad person and suffer in this world but on the flip side at least no one else is coming into the world to suffer so why not help a child that was abandoned by a person that obviously should have never had kids in the first place.

@@RedPillOption Well. I have some plans in the near future to adopt a child or two with my partner instead of having our own. I believe this will be much better because we don’t harm another conscious being by bringing them into this world; rather we’ll help those who are suffering. Thank you 👍

11:07 you are not informed on this, its nothing to do with space its resources and pollution. I could easily fit 300+ people in the space of my 4 bedroom house, that doesn't mean my house could host 300 people. The world isn't built purely for one species. We currently use up more resources and create more pollution than is sustainable. To be sustainable as things are would require 1.7 earths. There is no other solution to this, human beings are not eco friendly and never will be. In the last 150 years we've killed off over 90% of the planets wildlife and that figure is only accelerating as people aspire to ever more modern lifestyles. We're playing a game of Jenga with the very ecosystem that we need to survive.

Antinatalism is not the solution for the world's problems, we need to be vegan and pump up more children and raise them with vegan values, help advance our technologies and the way we live, so in the future we can also help wild animals and the constant rights violations and suffering they endure, no need to quit, life isn't just about suffering and pain. I'll be sure to pump as many vegan kids into the world as life allows me, while doing so responsibly, by being able to provide them with a good life and not expecting anything back from them, it's me who wants to give them the chance to live, it's my obligation towards them, they will not owe me anything at any time.
@garibaldi54Ай бұрын
No such thing as responsible breeding, your kids will still kill 1000's of animals even if they're vegan. I am a vegan and am well aware of the damage I'm doing to the planet just by existing.
