Thanks guys, this was great. Lyn Alden also presented her analysis on investing in Russia a long time ago and encouraged people to look into it. Although, I think she was a tiny bit too negative because of some geopolitical shakiness at the moment. I think on the macro level, it is important to keep emphasizing that Russia now will have to finally have the opportunity of truly uniting the east and the west, economically, geographically and politically. The recent developments with the Arctic route is also a good sign of how much of the logistic world chain Russia will be controlling soon (even Japan is now investing into it).

Great video ... however I think two aspects have been omitted ... 1) an improvement in relations between Russia and the West is imo wishful thinking ... to the contrary, with a potential new head of government in Germany from the Green party, the EU policy might get some teeth towards Russia 2) the improvement in dividend payout levels is only announced and not implemented yet - at least for Gazprom - 2021 dividend to be paid out in 2022 - will be about 90 USD-cent, 2020 is lower (because of Covid I guess) and 2019 was only 33 USD-cent

I doubt Germany would upset Russia as it depends so heavily on Nordstream 2 for its "Green" economy. Russia also controls the world's nickel and numerous other commodities which the West doesn't want to cut off to go green. Rosatom is rolling out a closed loop energy source Globally which is growing traction as well.

the concern about sanctions is legit, but from what I'm understanding and seeing, the sanctions are of limited effect due to risk of backfiring and Russia just being self sufficient. As we are seeing even without Nordstream 2 operational at the moment, Gazprom is carrying on without issue.

I’m not really happy that all my comments under this video were deleted, but I still want to call everyone as “blind kittens”. I mentioned so many specific examples of what was happening in Russia.

I don’t delete comments unless they are rude. Yours were not. KZbin self deletes many comments. Let’s see how things turn out.

Just one correction- Russia not in transition "to Democracy"- but from one authoritarian type of regime (Socialist) to another one - it's currently kind of a fascist regime (although even correcting for the time at some points fascist rejimes were softer than this one), and if you have no problem investing in it- it's your choice. As long as you don't physically go there. That's if you don't want to take chances to end up like l Michael Calvey
