Human beings is social animals. Company does that to reduce cost hence promote profit. Remote working does have its benefit but it should not be compulsive.

I'm the text book introvert, borderline hermit. I would prefer to work from home if only for the benefits of sleeping in my bed just a tad longer, and to save my aging vehicle the commute. I found ways to compartmentalize my home office with a L shaped work desk. One of the main issues I had with working from home for the first time (due to the pandemic), my boss called me constantly and sometimes with such insignificant things (as if to keep tabs on me). This only interrupted my workflow and made me frustrated/stressed. It was really getting out of hand.

Although it’s a blessing it also affects one’s mental health tbh. You tend to be more recluse and depressed.
