Does anyone else think that there should be a charge for deliberately traumatizing small children by enacting abuse in front of them?
@moontoad6412
@moontoad6412 2 жыл бұрын
There is in the US in some places, at least. It ups the punishment you get for a domestic violence charge. You can even get your children removed if they witness a lot of domestic violence even if they are otherwise unharmed (because witnessing that is a form of abuse). This is of course dependent on local laws but I think it's fairly widespread (the removal of children in that kind of abusive situation).
@daginezho1637
@daginezho1637 2 жыл бұрын
@@moontoad6412 Same as in Australia, Victoria to be exact. Every single time you call up emergency services for any domestic violence they ask if any children are involved or witness to any violence that has been commited. If the legal guardian does not take them out of these situations they can lose their children to the Department of Human Services (similar to CPS in the states). I'm not a psychologist but I've seen behavioural changes in children that witness violence or even arguments on a daily basis. Children need to be protected cause we see too many of these same children growing up thinking it's normal and ok to emotionally and psychology abuse their partner just because 'their parents were like that'.

The "if I can't have you no one can" mindset is tied to alot of dangerous mental illnesses, but since we live in a misogynistic society they dont see it as a symptom, they see it as masculinity since they think women are entitled to men. People really need to separate mental illness and masculinity. Like if a woman did this she's seen as crazy, if a man did this its seen as masculine man and that it's the woman's fault that she didn't submit to her husband, and that's"men's nature"

@Tuffetti
@Tuffetti 2 жыл бұрын
@@josmclove4426 To say this guy is “evil” is far too simplistic; it’s certainly not addressing the fact that he, like most people who commit these types of crimes, obviously have some kind of mental illness because ‘normal’, (whatever ‘normal’ means?!) well balanced people just don’t kill their partners. There are “evil” (bad) people who have evil (bad) thoughts and even actions, but ‘normal’, well balanced people know how to control those thoughts and don’t act on those urges. Mentally ill people, on the other hand, who are not medicated with appropriate psychotropic medications and who aren’t closely monitored are unable to control themselves and the result is what we’ve seen in this video. There is well documented evidence that genetics play a big part in criminal behavior. After his arrest, this guy must’ve been evaluated by a psychiatrist and although it wouldn’t satisfy our dramatic, sexy lust for ‘revenge’ I’m pretty sure the results of that evaluation would show that he suffers with mental illness/illnesses/personality disorders and at the time was probably not medicated with the appropriate psychotropic medications that he very obviously needed. The whole “evil” concept is an easy way for us to label things we don’t understand and it satisfies our curiosity about the whys and wherefores of why people kill/torture/punish/hurt other beings, including animals, but it’s really far too simplistic and it also has a weird religious connotation to it (good versus evil, darkness versus the light, etc) which really has nothing to do with it, certainly nothing to do with this particular case. Really, the best, most accurate way of describing him would be to say that he’s a fucking lunatic because while sounding flippant it’s actually true! The medical community might have a problem with that ‘diagnosis’, probably because it doesn’t sound professional, but whatever way you slice it and dress it up, this guy IS a fucking lunatic. Literally.

Good advice, I suppose. Nowadays I have very good relations with all the people I'm gonna talk about, so in the end it all worked out pretty well. Having that said, when I was a teen and I got dumped by my 1st real gf, I still had her FB password, and I went there every couple months to just lurk and reminisce _(sad brokenhearted emo teen vibes, but let those who don't cringe at their teenage years be the first ones to cast the stone)_ and did nothing else. We didn't really talk IRL despite leaving on friendly terms, for me it was too painful and she probably saw it and didn't force herself around my vicinity, for which I am in hindsight very grateful. Time went on, took me like half a year to finally get over it, I got a new girlfriend - but after another half a year I realized this wasn't gonna work out. So I told her we need to part ways. Some time after that, I got a bit nostalgic one evening and just randomly decided to see what's up with my 1st ex. Bad luck had it that somehow she and my 2nd ex connected, and in that moment, in real time, as I saw messages coming back and forth, they were talking sh!t about me in chat XD So, offended at this affront _(because I thought "we were friends" with 1st ex and I've done nothing to infringe on her space, didn't bother her to beg for another chance, didn't try to put obstacles in her life, none of that BS etc. - we just basically ghosted each other while technically remaining on "friendly" and only exchanging a "hi" if neccessary),_ I proceeded to join the conversation from her account and tell them that I was watching and that it's nice to find out all these things about me now. Can't really remember what exactly I said, it was 10+ years ago, but knowing myself, I probably whinebragged about _"at least dumping [2nd ex, name redacted] in person WITH _*_STYLE, UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE_*_ IN THIS CONVERSATION WHO COULD ONLY SEND A TEXT"_ XDD then tossed some further shade and went _"peace out, better change your password [1st ex name]"_ lmao On one hand, it was probably pretty invasive... On the other _(and to the main point of why your comment made me remember this story)_ after years of watching True Crime by now, I'm so glad she learned the _"change your passwords"_ lesson from a cuddly bubbly pompous b!tch _"better than thou, too proud to be mad"_ edgelord-with-a-purpose like my teenage self, because she could've have found out in circumstances SOOO MUCH worse... Eventually, it was her new boyfriend a year later who led to our friendship reunion, but that's a story for another time :P They're no longer together either, but just last month we all three met after years and went out for karaoke. Awesome time, I love them all like family

I also want to echo what a lot of people are saying; the way you present these is incredible. You bring so much honour to the victims and bring their light and joy to life while degrading and reducing the criminals who hurt them. Too much our society glorifies evil and bad behaviour. We need more people like you, Adrian, and far far far fewer than this human refuse Ricardo. Take care, stay well and be good to yourself.

I grew up with a stepdad who beat the crap out of my mom and almost killed her a couple times. She didn't have anyone to turn to or anywhere to go and unfortunately so many women and men are in the same position. Society has come a long way over the past few decades with abuse and domestic violence but we still have so much further to go. Laws need to be changed to hold the abuser truly accountable and programs need to be put in place to truly help people out of these dire situations. It's not just a shelter that they can take themselves and their kids to. They need tangible, real life help. 2 weeks in a homeless shelter is not gonna help anyone get on their feet. People say they care about this but when it comes down to it they don't. Look at all the money we spend on BS wars but mention we need to be helping a struggling person and heads explode. If you're in this situation, please know it's not your fault and you do not deserve to be treated like that. You deserve to be loved and treated with respect. You deserve to have a partner that won't hurt you. You deserve better. You. Deserve. Better.

This is a mindset that is widespread in third-world countries [as mine]. For example, being a toxic gf/wife is a joke, a meme, in Mexico. You see an abusive partner doing whatever is on their hands to keep the victim tied to an unhealthy relationship. It will not be a surprise that he was making her have kids since that will make her less interested in running away. In the end, the poor kids were just a tool to justify his abusive behavior.

One guy shot another in the back of the head, the victims mother in tears, the killer gets on the mic and is a total a-hole with absolutely NO remorse in front of the mother so the judge says no plea deal and he'll be locked up for life. The guy himself didn't apologize but he did have his lawyer get up and say he's sorry and begged for the plea deal, the judge stupidly gives him that plea deal.

It’s hard to explain as each case is different but in general it’s usually because they believe the kids will help fix or better the situation or partner. It’s not uncommon to hear stories of ppl having kids and their lives changing or them realizing they needed to mature for the sake of their child, and it does sometimes happen. But there’s also many cases when it doesn’t, as this one, and the added stress of kids makes things worse rather than better. Sometimes it’s even a way to trap one so they feel compelled to stay for the sake of their kids in hopes things will get better. It’s truly doesn’t connect or make sense from an outside perspective but if you’re in that situation sometimes the sweetness and innocence of a child to help better someone seems to make sense. I’m not saying it’s right just trying to help make it more comprehensible

My father was extremely abusive and violent. When I got old enough I would put myself between him and my siblings and mom when he would rampage. I would take the beatings and would also fight back. My siblings actually resented me for this because they saw it as me trying to have all the attention (even bad attention is still attention. Sick right?) He tried to kill my mother a few different times. Once by messing with her brakes. Another time he took her up to a rural location and put a gun in her mouth telling her if she divorced him he would kill her. He was using freebase cocaine and got her hooked on it too. I could see she was wasting away. One way or another he was killing her. By the time I was 16 I was so angry with my father and my mother but I could see my father was the biggest issue. I ended up telling my mother to leave and go stay with her parents that if she stayed she’d end up dead. She would always say “I need to stay for you kids!” I told her staying wasn’t working or helping and how she would be more of a mom getting healthy by getting away from him. I was a kid but was smarter and more together than my parents sadly. She was stubborn and at first refused to go. I ended up literally throwing her out of the house forcing her to leave. After growing up like that, I’ve never tolerated physical abuse from anyone. Women can be extremely abusive too. If someone gets violent with me, it only takes one time and they will be exited immediately. I’ve done a lot of work to teach my daughter what a healthy relationship is, by example. It’s an important key to preventing these situations. Both young women and men need better examples of what healthy is. And to be self sufficient not needing to rely on anyone. People should be well rounded, stable and actualized individuals before they get into a relationship. All too often people hook up casually and end up in awful situations. They aren’t developed enough as individuals. I shudder to think of what it’s going to be like for the current generations who are growing up with devices in their faces.

@@jawaela we don’t really know what happened between them. We don’t know if she wasn’t in fact toxic herself just as he was but at a different degree. This is NOT to say she is responsible for his actions. I just know what I’ve seen in my 55 years from humans and it’s very rare that a toxic relationship is only toxic on one side. There’s also the reality that many people get into relationships with very wrong people for very wrong reasons to begin with. My mother married my father just to escape her controlling parents during a very different era. Humans would do much better if they were better actualized as individuals before entering a long term commitment. Even just having sex without long term- humans need to take responsibility and that’s not how this society operates. Society wants us reliant not self reliant. Society wants us to rely on the government, the systems of the government. The government doesn’t want fully empowered people who are strong and smart. That’s what I’ve seen.

The answer to literally everything in the world, to end all evil, is to follow Jesus Christ. There would be no hatred, no hypocrisy, no pride, no abuse, no lying, no cheating, no disrespect, NOTHING evil. Too bad the world chose sin over God and now everyone's punished for it here. "Ricardo couldn't count." This apparently is a more common problem than I had thought it might be. I listened to two people reacting to a song just last night and one of them mentioned that the song they were reacting to was released in 1970. He said, "Just think, that's 20 something years ago." and the other person agreed with him. So, I guess from 1970 to 2022 is 20 years! I actually like that way of counting because it makes me a few decades younger than I thought I was. 😁

To put into perspective how incredibly stupid most people are I’ll take you back to when Michael Bloomberg ran for president. There was a segment on CNN where two anchors or show hosts were commenting on a tweet made by some dope on how Bloomberg, at that point had spent 300 million dollars on a failed presidential bid. The tweet stated something about how rich people don’t care and waste money and could’ve used that 300 million to give every American 1 million dollars which is immediately incorrect considering there are a little over 313 million legal American Citizens... if you do the math and there were 300 million Americans that would be around $1300 give or take because I don’t feel like doing the math right now! To compound the stupidity the two hosts completely agreed and began to run the entire segment off of that egregious error... I would say around 65% of Americans surprise me when they are able to breath and tie their shoes at the same time!

I have a question though, how could he log into her WhatsApp account with her old number? If you log into WhatsApp with another device, it automatically logs out of every other phone, so I don’t understand how that could’ve happened.. also, most devices notify you when you use “find my iPhone”, it also notifies you when you log in with your cloud from a new device, so I’m asking because this case is quite recent and I wanted to understand how he managed to access her data without her realising Great video btw! I did manage to mace him though😅 he also drunkenly slashed all my tires, although the police and this dad MADE him replace them the next day. He got the most expensive ones and paid for the towing etc because I said if you don't, I'm pressing charges for hitting me AND the tires. Turns out he for arrested the same night for slashing his neighbors tires because he didn't like how they parked 🙄 They caught him in the act and he's now on probation for it.
