I adore Ann Reinking, but it was all of them who were spectacular. What talent!

As always Ann gave a great and moving performance even in this short clip.

Annie making me feel patriotic and I'm not even American. Every Fosse dancer had/has something special about them, particularly that first generation that worked directly with him. But what Ann Reinking had was beyond words, she was incredible and it was not just her dancing.

And Rene Ceballos....very impressive dancer.

That's the most footage I've ever seen of Rene alone. I wonder if there's more out there. I became fascinated with RC after reading about her negative experience with Cats (injury) and have been searching for more of her dancing ever since. RIP Ms Ceballos

@@smurf902 She may have been one of the strongest/ the strongest(?) female dancer there. She stood out for me for sure.

Anne Reiking, legs up to her neck. Gone too soon. As for Fosse, this was the 70s, so they put this together fast I am sure, all pros. Later, Fosse became even more synchronized, although I'm not a dancer. Fab!!

This was one of the later Fosse works, actually. After that he only did Big Deal on Broadway, I think. This number in particular feels very different from Sing! Sing! Sing! or Dancing Man, big ensemble numbers that also were in Dancin'. This is just probably them having to wake up at 8am for a 10am call in the middle of an 8-show week.

ALL are magnificent but the tall, strong African-American young woman ("Dixie") blew me away. That spin move? Unreal! Anybody out there supply her name and details. Hope it worked out for her!

Karen Burke, according to Playbill Vault she did a few things as an assistant chorographer after Dancin', and performed in Chicago, Promises Promises and Raisin before that.

This Bob Hope special was so bizarre, although I am always glad when I see Ann dance. A young SJP also performed a duet with Bob Hope (not in this clip) because she was then the current Annie, so there was all of this Broadway business with a bunch of servicemen. Who cooked this up in the pipeline? Did Bob Hope sneeze out a wad of cash and they decided this was how to use those funds?

Ann Reinking had so much talent and a beautiful dancers body, I love watching her dance. I also like Bob Fosse choreography but I don’t care much for this particular show. I don’t see that it’s showing the best if Fosse.

Does anyone know the name of the dancer on 08:11? A young lady with short haircut (or what seems to be a short haircut).

Why are they going crazy for “American men” and completely silent for “American women”? Oh yeah! The navy. 😝😜😈
@PrincessSnowbelle3 жыл бұрын
Because they took the women seriously. They were overreacting to the men, because it was funny.
