They're definitely decently familiar with the game as newbies. I saw someone brought Michelle Rodriguez a big D20 on the red carpet to roll and she was asking what the roll was for and the person who gave it to her didn't actually seem to know or entertain her.

@@JusRed48 Read an interview a couple weeks ago about this. The druid and michelle rodriguez had played a fair amount I believe. The others either hadn't played or had only done so a vanishingly small amount. Apparently though as part of prep for the movie, they made them all play a session and reportedly they had a lot of fun and chris pine kept using animal friendship constantly, which I thought was a fun story.

I love how this movie basically got the cast to get into D&D itself, you could tell cause the way they talk about it in interviews and stuff like this is the same way people who've appeared on stuff like critical role start talking about it

Judging from another interview, I think Rege and Justice know a little about it, and Chris learned some from the role, but Michelle and Hugh (and probably Sophia) really don't.

0:21 Now I'm admittedly not on the up and up about DnD 5.0, but when I played, a wild mage was a type of mage, and a sorcerer was fundamentally different from a mage. Did they change that? Also, about Doric, everyone says she is a Druid but she doesn't cast a single druid spell and instead just shape-changes a bunch. Now again, when I played, a "Shifter" was a different class then Druid.

Yo ever since i saw this movie something has been bugging me and this video only confirms my suspicions. Xenk Yendar Is NOT a paladin! Everyone introduces their character and class except Page( who plays xenk). The others merely think he is a paladin but he never confirms it! My theory is hes a warlock.
