So sad to see it end. I could have watched for another 10 years! One of the best series and cast of actors ever!

Am I the only one, (and I think Rachel answers that), who just knew those tears in Midge’s eyes, during the applause after her set on the GF show were real Rachel tears for what she was feeling as an actor then too? Same with Susie. Reality met fiction, for sure, during those scenes. I’m so sad this show ended but it ended beautifully!

For me this was the perfect series finale. It wrapped the series in a way I've never seen, but have alawys craved. The brilliance of having 9 whole episodes when usually it's one or two gave depth an closure to all the characters. The final scene between Midge in New York and Suzie in California still sharing a friendship that has had it's rocky parts was sublime and makes me wish for that kind of bond. It's been a great series, thank you all!

I was waiting for one of two things to happen in the final scene. 1 was that one of them was going to drop dead (Midge would be 72 in 2005, Susie, likely older) while watching Jeopardy and the other was that Mrs. Maisel would be a Jeopardy answer.

I got covid last year and started watching the show while home from work. It helped me get through some hard times and made me laugh, with wheezing difficulty. Such good writing. And Lenny Bruce was finally recognized RIP my man, it's never easy for pioneers.

Oh my goodness this show has meant so much to me! The pilot came out six months after my own divorce was finalized. Can’t really say I have anything else in common with Midge, but I’ve found myself measuring my life and my progress against hers, season by season. Her determination and drive have helped me find my feet and keep walking towards my goals, no matter the obstacles. I think the last season was brilliant and I’m so grateful that Amy Sherman-Pallidino was finally able to finish a show herself. It was a masterpiece.

I agree wholeheartedly. With everything happening in the last 5-6 years, it was just a breath of fresh air, watching that show & the path that all the characters took. It was a beautifully done series with some of the best actors & characters of any series, in my lifetime anyway. Absolute thumbs up to the show, the writers, the story & the characters. Also, a definite thumbs up to the ending. It could’ve gone in so many directions, but I think they did a great job!

Let’s face it, Rachel Brosnahan looks great in anything. Even as a straight female, I still find that I will watch almost anything just because she’s in it & it’s not completely because of her amazing acting. She’s so gorgeous that you sort of just like seeing her on the screen. She also acts THE HELL out of every single role she’s played. Her character in House of Cards will always be my favorite though. Good lord if her character didn’t make me hate Doug (from House of Cards, of course) with a passion!

I really enjoyed this show which I wasn't expecting. Sad it's over but all good things must come to an end and this was a really good thing. If there's a chance of a spin-off series I hope Alex Borstein as Susie gets a show. I loved her character and her ladies that helped run her business, the other acts, the mob guys. All so well fleshed out characters. The show would have to be called "Susie Myerson and Associates"

Ended earlier than it should, with a hurried final season. Erratic and hard to piece together, this final go had me wondering and guessing and...blaming corporate decision-making. In the old days, a successful show with a big fan base survived and was encouraged even by the bigwigs. Not anymore. Now it's a streaming shoving match shown on a big screen TV with a timer. It's more about money than banking. When you have watched the show since its inception, as I have, and then you watch the final episode not even realizing that it was the final episode...hey, I'm a college grad who has actually read The Scarlet Letter AND Anna Karenina, so I dig creative writing. This was not creative in the meanest sense of the word. It was a smoothed-over bedsheet in an expensive hotel off season. It was a minute on the merry-go-round before lights out. And Amazon stopped selling tickets.

I thought the final episode was rather oddly structured and kind of felt like an after thought. I loved the show but the last episode just didn’t seem to do it for me. Regardless though, the series was such a great experience. Maybe no matter what they did it was going to feel flat.

Respectfully (and I don’t say that in a facetious way), how do you not see a payoff? The entire series was dedicated to Midge becoming a famous comedian, despite all the things she had going against her & she WAS successful in the end. An edgy female comic starting in the 1960s was not going to have an easy road of it & she paid the price in many ways but since success was her ultimate goal, I thought the ending was perfect. I also have to give a nod to the writers for not bringing down the whole show by making a big part of the story Lenny Bruce’s true troubles & eventual death. It just wouldn’t have worked with it being such a good comedy, but they still paid homage to him, 4:31 while not putting too much of his story into series that was ultimately about someone else.
