Thing is with Joe he isn’t lucky cos of heartstopper. He is a good young actor and people can see that. People will want to have him for him not cos he played a character straight out of school that was in a hit netflix show. He could have been in that show and not be liked its all down to him and his acting

I agree. Joe is exceptional in every way. And I have praised him in many places. One person who I think is NOT getting enough praise is Sebastian 'Bash' Croft who took it upon himself to play a role GUARANTEED to be a lightning rod for all manner of hate and derision for a character that has no redemption arc. When I see him in that pride parade I get all kinds of conflicted because I know he doesn't return after season 2. I agree with the author that Ben's redemption arc need not be there and even more so that Charlie doesn't need to be there to experience Ben's redemption for it to happen. But it still kind of upsets me that he is getting left behind.

I will never not be sad that Covid made me miss Joe's professional onstage debut which even got him an WoS award. Praying he'll be on stage soon again in another project, maybe after filming for Heartstopper season 3 will have finished? I know he's now busy with Marvel, too but I just film his love for theatre will always be there.
