What I like about your videos and documentations is that you have no glitz or drama, just the down to earth investigations. That's what viewers want, more investigative teams should be like you. Thanks for being so real.

I really enjoyed this video. My ancestor was Peter Colley. The info we have is he was born in the atlantic ocean around 1751. Nobody can find out exactly where he came from the info says from Ireland. He built a stone house in Pennsylvania that is still standing. One of my cousins told me about the Colley Castle a few years ago. Thank you for posting this.

I too stumbled across this video while looking up Carbury Castle on Google. I am a descendant of the Colley family so this was very interesting to me. My Colley ancestor who left Ireland for America was William Colley who came over to New England (Maine) sometime in the mid 1600s.

Chris, I think you are very professional in the way you approach investigating. I, too, am a paranormal investigator and I really like the way you talk to the spirits when you introduce yourself. I do not like the way so many investigators will say as they come into a room for the first time "Is there anyone here who wishes to communicate?" or "Are there any spirit people here who wish to communicate?". It's as if they have forgotten that most of these entities were once alive and lived lives like the rest of us. They are not "spirit people". They are just people. I very much like how you take a kind approach, particularly when you call them by name and say something like "please forgive us for intruding on you. I do come with respect. It would mean very much if, perhaps, we could talk for a little while. Would you mind making a some kind of sign so i know you are here with me?" But the part I like a lot is when you tell them they don't have to if they don't want to. You're an excellent investigator

Hi, I'm Valerie Kugler, maiden name Carbury. My grandparents migrated from Ireland to Canada where my father was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1933. They then went back to England and Ireland for WW2 where my father and his subsiquent siblings were put in an orphanage while their parents fought. My grandmother, Millicent Victoria (Stevenson) Carbury parachuted behind enemy lines, as well as, worked for Winston Churchill for a time. Her husband, Edward Villiers Carbury, was in WW1 and received a field commission to the rank of Captain in the British Army. After they married, they went to work for the British Secret Service. Now for my question...Carbury Castle was named for the town? Or was the Carbury family who were land owners in Ireland, original owners of the land it was built on? From the time I was a little girl, my Grandparents spoke about Royalty in the family line somewhere but I was to young to grasp who and where they were talking about. Kids don't really pay much attention to such things. Anyway, I would sure love to know what you know about the history. Or anyone else for that matter. Thanks. I enjoyed watching your video.

I descend from Sir Henry Colley and his wife Catherine Cusak. Their daughter Alice married John Beardsall in Sheffield in 1578. The Beardsall line follows down to the marriage of Emily Beardsall who married Frederick Coulthurst in 1886 in Manchester. My mother was a Coulthurst and Frederick was her grandfather. Someone else did the work on the tree and I have not checked it.

Hi Todd, You say your ancestor was Peter Colley, so was mine. I guess that would make us related. My 80+ year old folks & I have a bit of family tree that leads back to the Colley's. Peter Colley who was born on a ship on the way to America in 1757. We do not have any info. on his parents. Our record states that the Carbury cemetary may contain info of Peters grandparents. We know they were well healed as they purchased much land in PA. I look forward to hearing from you. Elise

Thanks for sharing this video, Chris. I loved it, but then I've always been partial to castles. I always enjoy your videos, and this is one of the best I've seen. I should add that I'm descended from Sir Henry Colley, who's daughter Anne married a John Westley, who had a son, Samuel Wesley, and Sam had a son Charles Wesley, the famous hymnist. I've gotten down to Charles' children and grandchildren, but after that I don't have much. There's probably still 2-3 generations till my paternal grandfather shows up. Sadly, he died over a decade ago, otherwise I'd ask him. My grandma is still alive though, and has the Wesley family book, which I'd love to get my hands on.

I, too, could hear a lot of whispering around you. At 15:03, there is a whisper that sounds to be quite close to the camera mic. Also, at 15:36, I heard what sounded like "amen" as a reply to you feeling like there was a pesonal tragedy there at one time. When you asked the female to identify herself, at 16:00, I heard a very faint reply that sounded like "Jane". Another great video!

One of the annoying aspects of recording EVP and then transferring it to video on KZbin is that sometimes the recording actually sounds quite different to what you have actually recorded originally. But despite that, this video is very interesting in many respects and if you enjoy the presentation and work put into this, please `like` as ratings are important to ensuring a level playing field to the big media companies that enjoy a wider coverage.

In reply to the comment from 'bitofapilchard' The murders of the O'Connor clan did not take place at Carbury Castle. This slaughter took place at Carrick Castle which is about 6kms away, on the Carrick Road approx 2kms from the town of Edenderry. The de'Bermingham's murdered 32 members of the O'Connor clan by decapitation, the youngest being a child that was thrown over the battlements. The date for this is given as 1306 on the Feast of Holy Trinity which is in the Month of May. The child was an O'Connor Godson to Piers de' Bermingham.

I used to love ghost stories, until I found out they are nothing more than fallen angels, the ones who were cast out of heaven with satan, masquerading as "familiar" spirits. I hate to burst your bubbles, but you should steer clear of "ghosts". They can and do follow you into your home, causing trouble. It happened to me, not somebody else.
