His boss is played by Brian Doyle-Murray, Bill Murray's brother. The kids are played by Juliette Lewis and Johnny Galecki, best known as Leonard from TV's "The Big Bang Theory". 1. When Clark delivers the present to his boss his boss, Brian-Doyle Murry ' (Bill's brother) calls him greaseball. 🤣 Then still doesn't get it right until the end. 2. GOOF: The lights outside the attic window don't match the pattern with the rest of the house. 3. My favorite part is when Ellen pulls the chain on the trap door. 🤣🤣 4. Mae Questel played Aunt Bethany. She was the original Betty Boop and Olive Oyl. This was her last gig.😇 5. In the big rant scene the other actors had Chevy's lines written on placards so he wouldn't get his lines out of order. 6. Living next door to them must be kind of like living next door to the Bundys. 7. Fun fact; Chase actually hurt his hand karate chopping the reindeer. 8. Clark's crazy, Ellen/Beverley D'Angelo is way hotter than the saleswoman. 9. He's going to need that bonus to pay for the damaged house. 10. This IS my Christmas movie every year 11. Fun fact: This is the only Vacation where Audrey is older than Rusty. 12. My picks in order: Christmas, Vacation, European and finally Last Wages.

Will Farrell and Chevy Chase have something in common. They both rose to stardom on SNL. Chevy was only on SNL for season one, 1975-76. Other fun Chevy Chase movies: - "Caddyshack" with Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield. - "Fletch," and the sequel "Fletch Lives." - "Vacation." He's been in over 50 films. Unfortunately, most are just OK.

Oh this is up there for me. My all time favorite is "SCROOGED." It's a modern take on the classic, "A Christmas Carol." Bill Murray stars in it. I truly feel it's the best Christmas movie ever, and that's saying a lot, especially considering how much I adore, "A Christmas Story."

Chevy Chase is one of my favourite comedic actors. Along with the other National Lampoons Vacation movies, check out Foul Play from 1978, also starring Burgess Meredith (from Rocky movies) and Goldie Hawn (Kate Hudson’s mom) I actually bought the National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Advent calendar this year 😊

While I generally prefer the other 3 (Vacation, European Vacation, Vegas Vacation), Christmas Vacation has some really funny moments (Ellen protecting why she married Clark🤣🤣🤣) and a heartwarming ending. Play ball!

Cousin Eddie- rubber sheets and gerbils?? They could’ve left that out! For a Christmas movie, and he said it in front of everybody too. When the lights didn’t come on, that was like foreshadowing for the big Christmas bonus at the end not being what Clark expected.

There are seven movies in the Vacation series. They were National Lampoons Vacation (1983), European Vacation (1985), Christmas Vacation (1989), Vegas Vacation (1997), Christmas Vacation 2 (2003), Hotel Hell Vacation (2010) and the remake of the original with the story line being Clark's son Rusty on a vacation with his family. That was made in 2015. One constant about the series is that there were different actors playing the Griswold kids in each movie and the kids never seem to age.

Vacation is the first movie in this series. Christmas Vacation is the second. There are a couple more.. European Vacation and Vegas Vacation. The first is very good, with iconic theme song. European Vacation funny as well. 🙂

I always laugh so hard when i see this movie and that quote "Hallelujah! Holy sh*t! Where's the Tylenol?" Omg its hillarious. There are some fun-facts about this classic. The Griswolds’ neighbor’s house is the same house Murtaugh and his family lived in all the Lethal Weapon movies. The houses on this street are on the Warner Brothers Studios back lot. The house front from Bewitched and The New Gidget appears in the home movie that Clark is watching in the attic. In the scene when the police storm into the Griswolds’ house, the song “Here Comes Santa Claus” sung by Gene Autry is used for the background music. Randy Quaid (cousin Eddie) is the third cousin of Gene Autry. According to Randy Quaid, many of cousin Eddie’s characteristics (most notably the clicking of the tongue) were based off a guy that Quaid knew from when he grew up in Texas years ago who had similar traits. When Clark is in bed trying to read the People Magazine with sticky fingers from the tree sap, the person shown on the cover of the magazine is Producer Matty Simmons. And the scene where the cat bites on the Christmas lights cord and gets electrocuted was nearly cut from the movie. Prior to the first test screening. the studio execs wanted the scene taken out, fearing that it might offend some viewers, but producer Matty Simmons begged them to leave the scene in, and they eventually gave in to his request. After the first test screening, the test audience had scored the cat electrocution scene as the No. 1 favorite scene throughout the entire movie. Keep up the good work.

Clark is WAY too similar to an uncle I had while growing up. While it is hilarious in the movie I must say being around someone like that in real life was more hassle than fun, the man left a wake of destruction of some sort everywhere he went, he meant well and overall was a decent guy but he had zero impulse control and seemed oblivious to the havoc he wrought...but I still miss him a little, usually, lol.
