I worked a screening of the film followed by a talkback with Chevy last year and here are my favorite fun facts that I learned: 1) The tree cutting scene was filmed in Breckenridge, Colorado-- after it was filmed, they were supposed to fly back to California to film the rest of the movie on-lot, but got snowed in, which brings us to 2) the attic scene-- it was actually filmed at the Breckenridge bed and breakfast the cast and crew was staying at, and were stuck in. (I'd bet the owners were paid very well for the repairs that were needed, lol) 3) Chevy broke his hand punching the Santa decoration 4) All of the cat's noises were made by Chevy himself 5) Chevy, at least, was actually inside the car underneath the logging truck, but the car was attached to the underside of the truck; it wasn't actually being driven under it and 6) for Clark's rant about his boss, the actors all had cue cards taped to them to help Chevy nail the scene -- at the end of the talkback, Chevy read/acted out that speech for the audience! Hope you guys are having a wonderful holiday season, I love your videos so much!

So many of the best lines are subtle and are easy to miss. I can't swim Clark. I know that Eddie. Eddie can I get you a drink, something to eat, drop you off in the middle of a desert and leave you for dead? Don't forget the rubber sheets and the gerbils. Then there are the subtle sight gags. Ellen going Muhammed Ali rope-a-dope to dodge Eddie's attempt at kissing her. Ellen flicking the turkey off of her fork before pretending to eat it. The delivery guy pulling the wreath off of the door. Eddit throwing the dog food on top of and breaking the light bulbs.
@ashleyh7073Ай бұрын
You definitely should watch the others!! The only ones worth watching other than this one are the original National Lampoon Vacation, The European vacation one, and the Vegas Vacation one. I personally prefer the Christmas, European, and Vegas ones to the original. They're all fun tho!! :D
@williamjones6031Ай бұрын
1. When Clark delivers the present to his boss his boss, Brian-Doyle Murry ' (Bill's brother) calls him greaseball. 🤣 Then still doesn't get it right until the end. 2. GOOF: The lights outside the attic window don't match the pattern with the rest of the house. 3. My favorite part is when Ellen pulls the chain on the trap door. 🤣🤣 4. Mae Questel played Aunt Bethany. She was the original Betty Boop and Olive Oyl, This was her last gig.😇 5. In the big rant scene the other actors had Chevy's lines written on placards so he wouldn't get his lines out of order. 6. Living next door to them must be kind of like living next door to the Bundys. 7. Fun fact; Chase actually hurt his hand karate chopping the reindeer. 8. Clark's crazy, Ellen/Beverley D'Angelo is way hotter than the saleswoman. 9. He's going to need that bonus to pay for the damaged house. 10. This IS my Christmas movie every year 11. Fun fact: This is the only Vacation where Audrey is older than Rusty. 12. My picks in order: Christmas, Vacation, European and finally Last Wages. PS: If you want more of Beverley D'Angelo you must check out "Hair" and "Every which way but loose".

For Queen Juliette, please watch SOME GIRL. It's such a hidden gem with a stacked cast. Here is synopsis... Inexperienced in love and living in Los Angeles, aspiring actress Claire (Marissa Ribisi) longs to find that special someone. Unfortunately, she couldn't pick a more undeserving guy when she starts a relationship with womanizer Chad (Jeremy Sisto). Although her friend April (Juliette Lewis) warns her about him, it's not as if April doesn't have problems of her own -- namely a chronic inability to stay faithful to her longtime boyfriend, Neal (Michael Rapaport).
