I was trying to figure out why this region was so unsettling…ITS BECAUSE THINGS MOVE. all the machinery in rain world is almost completely stationary, rusted to the point of immobility. Meanwhile in the grinder, stuff actually moves and appears to actually be in a working state, which is cool as hell.

FUN FACT: Near the release of The Grinder there was actually some discussion of asking Nautilo (Howling rift's creator) if it could connect to Howling Rift, unfortunately due to the lateness of the discussion and hesitance of the main dev we never actually asked Nautilo about a connection.
