BasicBenjamin A na motor will always have better response than a turbo, I also have test pipes and tune which really wake the car up and provide instant throttle response.

Legend of a car. Has its fair share of lil quirks and issues but still a solid relatively fast car thats fun to drive. Seems like a lot of f80/82 owners go back to these even though these are considerably slower.

Yea its not bad, it feels rather heavy though and it rolls quite a bit!! but not to bad of a car for sure!

What you need to enjoy a BMW is a 6 cylinder inline motor NA, Turbos ruin everything. As a very biased BMW lover I have to say this... BMW made a name for themselves back then not sure about the F series or G series Beemas but in the whole E range those were pure drivers cars. They sounded great, not fast of the line but as soon as they got going they were very hard to catch and rear wheel drive just made it soooo much better and worth it. These days however they are made to keep up with the current trends and the whole going green and emissions stuff that they have lost the "thing" that made BMW... BMW. Maybe for that extra excitement look for a E39 540i or E60 M5. Nothing from that era/generation was better than BMWs

I think BMW, if they want to stay a pure drivers car they should not try and compete with Audi or Merc, Audi is light years ahead of them with technology and build quality, and Merc isn't really a competitor when it comes to hard hards, that performance well or keep up, yet their eco series is unmatchable by bot BMW and Audi. BMW should stick to the poser car, as thats what they are, they should stop trying to beat or compete because they cannot, they might have the capabilities to match, but they should keep to the CI and stick to what they are good at, they arn't Spaceships or old mans cars

F and g series are much better overall cars but people want what they wete use to. New cars are soooo much faster, more refined etc but they lost their way when it comes to connecting you to the car. Guess they just had more character back then its why it makes them more desirable and makes life more interesting. Btw the e60 was trash and riddle with too many problems to make the exhuast note worth owning the car.

Awesome video again dude :D Its awesome to see a new car video on your channel. I really like your opinion on the E92 M3. I sometimes drive the E92 coupe as a normal 320i and i really like it. It would be awesome if you'd get a brand new 2017 M4 facelift too and maybe make a bit of a comparison

Point is, in 10 years time every car will have overassisted steering (AUDI) and turbocharged to hell and back (AUDI). Purists will look back to these, Porsche GT4s etc as the last proper driver cars- the e92 is a naturally aspirated 4 litre, V8, rear wheel drive- what's not to like. Forget the "image problem". If you are a petrolhead, you focus on the driving experience

nice video bro , I like honesty when it comes to reviews ... The V8 m3 is one of my favourite BMs , as well as the 1M , obviously now the A45 and golf R is faster but when it 1st came out it was a really quick compact sports car .... But I honestly think the most one impressive to drive today is the 2016 M6 coupe , try to get your hands on one of those bro , you'll have a lot of fun

A45 and golf r are not faster dude...maybe when tuned but nit stock for stock. Plus they have cheap interiors are less fun to drive and sound like shit compared to the e92 m3.

Good review but since you're not a BMW fan i think an ideal car to warm you up towards the brand would be a 135 or something like that since people nowadays define a good car as a vague one , Mercedes and Audi are the main driver "isolators" in the market , there is no such thing as steering feel with those cars.

Will be looking for one to test, but seeing what else is out there, don't want to go to far back as the market is moving ahead so quickly that it might be irrelevant. This was just a review on my first BMW to try and understand it, rather than test the field. If it was a test then it will be like the new RS5 vs the New M4 or 5 that will be coming out

I think NA engines should be still engineered and manufacturers should come up with both turbocharged engines and NA as a choice when buying new cars

Yea the M3 is really cool but it needs to be lowered :D but you know I'm more of a RS or AMG guy but the new M2/3/4 are really cool! The V8 will be missed same with the new RS5, but god that's gorgeous haha :D As always great video and the roads and landscapes at the beginning were beautiful!!

BasicBenjamin now after seeing some videos on the RS5 I really like it, when I saw it on the Audi page and build my own one it was soo damn sexy! Oh hell yeah SA is really beautiful :D I mean Germany is too especially Bavaria etc but my region is kinda meh :D

The newer m3 isn’t any lighter,the engine sounds bloody awful! Same as the e92 is the last proper m car made in the M factory. Yes the newer cars are easier to drive but that’s boring lol. low end the s65 isn’t as bad as you’d think and it’s easy to get gains.bmw is all about lap times and on track driving.thats why it will lap a c63 Amg 5-10 seconds faster on most tracks with less power. M2 isn’t as fast either lol,so many people do not drive the e92 m3’s properly that rev counter goes to 8,400 for a reason! Use the revs and no m2 is getting passed unless modified....do you know how strong the s65 is? 700hp capable with a little boost from a charger.ive come from turbo cars but the s65 is refreshing it has a sense of occasion driving this car its fun responsive and the noise (mines modified)...the e92 is the last proper m car the car people will crave when everyone gets bored of point and squirt awd Audi’s and unsophisticated amgs. It’s the drivers/enthusiasts choice.
