the lead vocalist on "He Made a Rainbow Of My Tears" sounds like Sherrill Nielsen (background singer of Elvis Presley, former member of quartets like The Statesmen and The Master V)

That was Roy Tremble! He sang tenor with the Cathedrals for most of the 70s.
