The Cavaliers "Roaring 2000's" Compilation!!!

This video consist of The Cavaliers and their performances from 2000 to 2008. It's called "Roaring 2000's" because that was a period of time where they didn't get any lower than 3rd place in the DCI championships.

Cavies practiced at my high school for a while until 2003 when they had Spin Cycles. Our football coach wasn’t too happy that he had crop circles all over his field.

I marched 2001. Loved winning the championship that year (Low brass ensemble in I&E too!). That said, Frameworks is probably my favorite DCI show of all time. So so so good. Just immaculately clean, and that brass line...

That last drill move in Frameworks will always be one of the most impressive for me. Anyone that's marched in band or drum corps knows how hard that is to nail an arc like that, especially jazz-running into it. Backwards.

I remember that Frameworks was the first DCI show I got to see live and was astonished and the level of execution. I was a freshman in high school and never knew marching bad could be that precise, clean, and polish. I was instantly a Cavies fan from there on out.

The Cavaliers won two national titles in 1967. There were one of the best drums in the 1960s, winning several VFW and American League championship. Remember, this was in an era when there more than 5,000 drum corps in North America. Since DCI was formed in 1973, drum corps have steadily declined. Back then, kids could afford to march in a corps. That is no longer the case today/

during 03 season I toured as volunteer.. got ta see spin cycle many nights including the 3 finals nights,, I thought spin cycle would have beat bd that year,, that horn line was beast every night that summer., oh good times

That show was so awesome. 95 scouts most entertaining for me. But I think either spin cycle or frameworks should've scored a lot higher than they did. High difficulty, and flawless.

I think if you were to look at high school band programs being successful, that could explain why drum corps has had a membership decline, and corps execute music and drill at a much much higher level than they used to.

if i was to make a list of best 2000s drum corps shows the cavaliers would have 2 of the top 5 01 four corners and 02 Frameworks but the top 5 is 02 frameworks 2011 cadets 02 blue devils 01 cavaliers 2011 carolina crown (i freaking love that show)

I was on the field... When Graham fell, one of his tuning slides came out too. He was able to grab it, get it back in, and back in formation that quickly. If I remember correctly, he is also legally blind... boom.
