Thanks for the CGX-L introduction tutorial. Very helpful.

Wish my L was that smooth. Have been using it for AP for a couple years now and it performs well but it’s pretty stiff still. Agree that C should have made the CW shaft smaller so I could use my 11lbs weights or sold one to fit. Had to buy Losmandi 7 and 11 lbs weights.

& EU’s

Thank you, wonderful to see the rig-but the notion of being portable is a bit daunting. For simple visual use plus ‘easy’ portability with inbuilt power, am looking at a C8 Edge on single tine Evolution mount.

It is for sure right on the cusp of being portable and being a permanent fixture. The Evo with the 8” is a wonderful combo! I’ve used one many times.

Great heavy duty mount. The guide scope looks interesting, which is it?

It’s an Orion Multi Use 70mm scope. It can be used visually, wide field imaging, or guiding at 280mm focal length. Which is the perfect longer focal length for using my f/6.3 reducer on this 8”

Nice review! Do you move that as one unit from indoors to set it up outside?

It is far too heavy for that! It’s a brute! But it is solid, accurate, and built like a tank
