Does anyone know about the John Greene cemetery near Harpster, Ohio? I lived across the street for a few years. We played there and my sister mowed it for a time. It made me love cemeteries and history. Some very scary markers with epitaphs. Old graves, entire families in some died near the same time. The kids had an interesting story about John Green or Greene and how he came to be buried there. It was off the road down a long wooded road with some abandoned cars. Let me tell you that place still haunts my dreams. I would love to go back but live in North Carolina now.

Very cool segment. I have been to several cemeteries around Ohio that could use someone like this guy who cares enough to take care of them. I would be interested in seeing if he needs any help finding the names/stories of some of the deceased, as this falls in line with what we are trying to do throughout the state of Ohio.

@@historyinyourownbackyard2363 I actually ate there too! Spent many hours in those woods and seen quite a bit. The post office definitely needs a video as alot of people dont know it's there. And I never seen the Blue lady. Keep up the good work!

Ooh..you may be a sweetheart, but I'm sorry your voice and forced animation are really annoying I don't mean to be rude, but had to say something. You would be better suited interviewing young people where your bubbly nature would fit right in, ..However, the actual programme has been very interesting. I don't understand how the cemeteries just get abandoned and left. Surely the church is supposed to maintain these places..it's so disrespectful to those souls who are buried there, and so quickly forgotten. Thank goodness there are such thoughtful and willing people like this kind man, to labour to set things to rights...they look wonderful once done, and yes...he should take pride in all he has achieved , doing five plus cemeteries up . Very well done!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I really respect people to take the initiative to fix something that is broken. This gentleman has a kind heart and through his hard work, he has restored this cemeteries. This is ultimate respect for those who have passed before us. I think this presenter does a great job and she is one of my favorite people who present these videos.

@@mariaadam8292 Thank you for the kind comment, this is my grandfather and he has restored over 100 cemeteries around us ive helped in about 20, but to the people commenting rude things about him like his voice are horrible people not everyone has a perfect voice and he has a speech problem, but thank you for your kind words Maria.
