Greenwich looks so charming! That was a very nice walkthrough! The alleyways and streets are so clean and full of historic but charming architecture. It was a nice buzz of people, different mixtures and those awesome British accents. I would definitely visit there, the center of time. Thanks for sharing this!

6:08 Greenwich Market - Est. 1737! 🤩 11:41 This alleyway to the market looks really cool. It was neat to see the exterior of the Royal Observatory and the Prime Meridian. The line still bisects outside the gate and is marked on the pavement / wall still - many people take selfies there without having to pay to get into the courtyard. You just have to follow the path round the wall. There's also a secret garden if you continue this circular track back round and up , which will then dip down again to a new bottom

I wonder do they have this street market every Saturday? I would enjoy that. And I've always been interested in GMT and the place in Washington, VT. I think it's an observatory where they measure the wind speed. Enjoyed this video. I LOVE cannolis

Very interesting, although I can’t believe you skirted by and didn’t take shots of the historic Old Royal Naval College buildings opened in the 1600s and National Maritime Museum buildings, or even the Victorian foot tunnel under the river Thames.

Many years ago, I visited the museum's horological display and learned how pendulum clocks become confused or totally frustrated at sea, and how sea-going timepieces were devised. And I don't recall that I was denied access to any part of the observatory.

It used to be free. Now you have to pay.

The observatory is a paid attraction now, although you can still view the Prime Meridian from outside the gate.

Have you ever checked out the geographical location of Stonehedge and wondered if it was the original site of the timelines around the world and in what geographical distance is it to the 3 Pyramids of Giza in Egypt?

Absolutely!

The reason why the pavements are so narrow is that Maritime Greenwich is both a World Heritage site and a Conservation Area. The only way to widen the roads was to narrow the pavements because demolishing buildings is pretty much impossible.
