I will be the first to admit there is a lot I don’t know. But, for me, to reject the Cepher Publishing Group as heretical is a no brainer. There’s simply too many problems and the baffling inclusion of Acts 29 is the icing on the cake. I am convinced that what is currently called Jasher, while an interesting retelling of human history, is not the original Jasher that seemed to have been a collection of stories largely focused on wars and songs of war. It’s likely that Jasher in its original form was never intended to be inspired. Jubilees, while also interesting and filling in details Genesis left out, has too much exile and post exile influence to be taken seriously. It is interesting that Enoch, Jubilees, and Jasher all seem to give insight on Enoch, the flood, giants etc, but there’s just too much second temple era influence to consider any of them original or inspired.
