The ability to remaster music is one thing, but personally I think being able to experience this album, or any of Fleetwood's music back in their glory days would have been better. But I'm only 25, so it seems to me that being able to experience any music before my time would feel a lot different than experiencing it today.

The fact that I just found this song few weeks ago makes me angry , how many great songs are hiding out there ? will I ever find them ?
@philhenry98984 жыл бұрын
I highly recommend Jefferson starship(start with a song called white rabbit it’s a trip) or Cream both are fantastic, also Steve nicks the main female singer of fleetwood Mac also did a lot of solo work also fantastic, as I side note highly recommend you look into the history of this very album it’s called rumours for very good reason and every song has very real and deep meaning once you know it the songs take a very different light but don’t want to spoil that journey for you. Enjoy

Just listen to your local classic hits station and use Shazam to find the song and artist. That's what I would recommend nowadays. However I grew up listening to these tunes on the radio all the time, a good while before Shazam, and when KZbin was in Infancy

From Wikipedia: "The Chain" was created from combinations of several previously rejected materials, including solo work by Buckingham, Nicks and Christine McVie. It was assembled, often manually by splicing tapes with a razor blade, at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California, with hired engineers Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut.[4] Due to the spliced nature of the record (the drums and guitar were the only instruments recorded in each other's company)[8] and its sporadic composition and assembly from different rejected songs, "The Chain" is one of only a few Fleetwood Mac songs whose authorship is credited to all members of the band at the time.[4] The finished song itself has a basic rock structure, although it has two distinct portions: the main verse and chorus, and the outro. Influences of hard rock, folk, and country are also present. Subsequent analysis of "The Chain" has also led many to cite it as one of the most evocative expressions of the internal fracture among various band members at the time. Buckingham and Nicks were ending their relationship at the same time that John and Christine McVie's marriage broke down, as did that of Fleetwood and his wife, Jenny Boyd.[4]

@@biru4531It’s a double-edged sword, tbh babes. Any time I hear this song come on and it gets to the iconic bass - without fail - I find myself listening for the whining engines, the screams of the tires and the voice of Murray Walker. Even when I know they’re not gonna be there the absence is jarring, like missing a step on your way downstairs. Needless to say it sort of takes away from the emotional impact of the song. If you want a taste, search “F1, the science of the scream”.
