I picked up one of these for $10.00 at a thrift store a few weeks ago and all I had to do was disassemble and oil the recoil pulley shaft and it fired right up. Mine has the Tillotson carburetor also. Fuel line and carb gaskets still pliable. Don't make' em like they used to.

that saw was tuned perfectly ! I could hear the clutch drum ring on a slight 4 cycle ,, that takes a pro ,, thanks for sharing !

Dear Santa I really need a coil for my big MAC 250 , I have about 10 One hundred plus year old cottonwood trees on the ground do to high winds this summer ,it looks like a battle zone.there are about twenty more still standing .due to drought and life span they are no match against 70 to 100 mph wind and are having a hard time .

What Tillotson carbs will work, any HL series? I know the kart engine ones have them.

How is the 250 in the cut compared to more modern 10-10 ? is the 250 model worth modding? i was thinking the 805 for a mill set up however i can try with a 80cc 250 mac- or do you think its a bad idea? thanks td great video

I have a 1-53 with the flat back tilotson carb. Is the HL a better option?

Why do you pull the pull cord on every chainsaw when you start it

SebbyPL Kus Because you see how after he shut off it pulled on it when he was holding it. It allows give on the rope and starter assembly because the compression after shut off moves the engines backwards slightly and it grabs the starter assembly. It prevents excessive stretch and pull on the rope but also there's a tendency to break the rope because of that kick back after shut off.
