Ending fight scene was ingrained in my memory back when i was little kid watching Saturday afternoon action movies on tv. Never knew where it was from until a year ago.

Fantastic movie. I saw this on late night cinema tv when I was 12 or so. I'm 60 now. One of those late saturday night movies. . and then searched for it for years. . forgetting what it was called. . . I remember the ending was very special. Thank you so much for posting. I would love to see a remake of this. . that'd be something!!

Now I have found it. The title of this film is The Challenge, which was a 1982 American action film directed by John Frankenheimer and written by John Sayles, Richard Maxwell, and Marc Norman.

I thought Glenn was supposed to be a boxer, that was as pathetic a show fight as I have ever seen, what was the point
@AngelCatBaby11 ай бұрын
The point is that he is thrown into a life changing situation, and learning while being in a different culture, unlike his own boxing background. Also, he was a sparring partner, doing it as a job, not as a career like Rocky Balboa. If you really notice some of his movements though, it’s a combination of boxing style when he uses it and also that which he learns from a samurai warrior. It’s the best of both cultures for the ended fight scene which I did happen to notice in this.
