Ha! I’ve thought US builders are a terrible with standard versions and upgrades. Here they are required by law to put floor coverings in standard build.

Thanks for sharing! That's really interesting to hear how building standards differ across countries. In the UK, new build properties often come with basic fittings, but we quickly discovered that a lot of what we assumed were "standard" features-like floor covering or nicer appliances-actually came at an additional cost. Sounds like builders everywhere have their own way of surprising buyers with those extra expenses! 😅

I prefer a fixed price rather than bidding war. This is somethibg which i dont like especially for me who is ftom Singapore and even my Scottish partner agrees with me.

We completely agree! The "offers over" system can be incredibly frustrating, and like you, we much prefer the idea of a fixed price. During our house hunt, we lost out on several properties due to the bidding wars, which was both stressful and disheartening. It definitely adds an extra layer of complication, especially when you're trying to budget as a first-time buyer. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! 😊🏡

@@TwoMenTheirDog yep, If im the seller and I know how much my property is worth and how much I want to sell with profit, I just list this xxx amount. If I want bidding, I go to Christine or Sotheby's auction haha

Haha, that’s a brilliant take! We completely get where you're coming from, it’s like a mini auction but without all the glamour. It can be super frustrating, especially when you know what you’d be willing to pay, but still have to go through the whole guessing game. Thanks for the laugh! 😄

@@TwoMenTheirDog haha you are welcome. Not to forget this idiotic property bidding scheme in Scotland is so outdated and waste of time. Enough to have cobwebs growing who knows where lol How is the cottage and where about? I live between Sg and Glagow Westend.

We couldn’t agree more-the bidding system can feel really outdated, and it does have that cobweb effect, doesn’t it? 😅 As for the cottage, it’s tucked away in the Southern Uplands, surrounded by rolling countryside. We’re eagerly waiting to get the keys, so we can start this new chapter! Glasgow’s West End is a fantastic spot too, a great mix of vibrant city life and stunning architecture 😊
