Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZbin, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZbin. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZbin, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

I was a kid of about 9 or 10 back in 1966 when this came out. Hippies, Flower children, LSD and many other drugs, were just starting to take hold of a generation, (Now in our 70s and 80s age wise) and really starting to influence the music scene. Vietnam war, race riots, and politicians being assassinated (John F. Kennedy, Robert "Bobby" Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr.). IT was crazy back then, but it was the best era of Rock music. Motown, Rock, Blues, Pop, and even Country Western was at its peak. So much great music, you couldn't keep up with it.

You e been psychedelicised! I can’t express enough to people who didn’t grow up with AM radio how much different types of music you’d hear on a car ride & how that influenced so many of our tastes as we aged. You would hear The Stones, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra,Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin, Temptations, James Brown, The Jackson Five, & Elvis etc all on one station. So as a little kid your record collection would contain it all. It was amazing.

Kudos to you for listening to the "long" version...just GRAND! Gotta say, if you weren't high when this tune started, you most certainly are after the time signature change... And yes, it's intended to be trippy...think about when this song came out. Great choice, great reaction, man.

I bet you would love Rare Earth, they're from the same era and are along the same lines as The Chambers Brothers musically, as with anything else listen to the LP or live versions. My personal favorite from them is "(I Know) I'm Losing You" but "Get Ready" and "I Just Wanna Celebrate" are great too.

Exhibit B for why you always must check out the album version. Light My Fire by the Doors was Exhibit A for me. We owe a debt of gratitude to the FM stations of the late ‘60’s & early ‘70’s that opened the airwaves to songs longer than 3:00 minutes. Long versions rule. ✌️❤️🎶

Great band. I actually saw them live back in 1968, and of course the highlight was when they started this epic song with the drumsticks beating against the cowbell ...... psychedelic soul at its finest. What an era I lived (survived) through! I really enjoy your channel!

In '67 all music tried to be trippy. Many bands just ended up doing pointless and endless jams with feedback and distortion but the C. Brothers pulled it off with soul. Believe it or not this got a lot of AM airplay, even the long version. It would come on the car radio and..crank it up

Damn I haven't played this album in a long time you know what I think I'm going to go through my collection after I get through watching this and put this on the turntable and it's very psychedelic it's indeed to be that way lol just imagine being in the room with a black light on the ceiling full of different trippy black light posters and spirals going off with this particular song playing while you're high I've been there and done that especially in the late nineties to be exact great reaction to a classic I 👍💯

The album cut is always longer, and better. Back then radio stations would only play 3 or 4 minute songs, and record companies would put out the short singles, FM would eventually do the whole song.

Love this song (the long version!) and your reaction. Now you should react to another "psychedelic soul" song, "Fire" by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, also best in the longer album version. Other longer songs to check out: "Light My Fire" and "L.A. Woman" by The Doors, and "Hocus Pocus" by Focus.
