A few humble requests that would fall in line with the styles of music you cover here. Something from House of Love: Shine On, Christine, etc. Other ideas: She's in Parties by Bauhaus. Songs by Japan would be great (even though the bass parts were on fretless). Castles in Spain by the Post-Punk supergroup The Amoury Show.

One of the great unsung albums from the 80's underground. Certainly a weird, Andy Rourke-esque tuning for the bass on this one...
