No one even today can make Albums like their first two.. to maintain this dreamy sound throughout from start till finish. Wish i Could be in that concert.. They sound unbelievably brilliant live.. I love it how the crowd is just so concentrated on the music, feeling every beat and word. They deserved success on global scale like The Smiths, New Order and U2!

1st time I saw them was in Danceteria. Bottom floor. They looked like they were 16 and they rocked that place like no other band of the time. After that they played the Ritz. Saw them every time they played NYC. That band got me through the 80's. In the 90's it was Catherine Wheel. These days it's Manchester Orchestra.

Listen to those lyrics, Mark Burgess is a genius , and each member complimented the others perfectly . Would have been one of the biggest rock bands on the planet, but the music industry beast system could not have millions listening to those lyrics .

I think this was a Friday night and it was free to get in because it was for a TV show. They played about 6.00pm from memory because it was disco night! I remember going down after work with some workmates. Fucking great band. Those first two albums are superb.
