UNBELIEVABLE. I have never see the like of this in my life. It was a great Premier League with the 2 best players in the world deservedly meeting in the final but for Littler to hit that stunning 9 darter after the break with the scores level was just unreal and then to keep his composure and break in the next leg was probably even more special. This kid is just from a different planet. Credit to Humphries, a class act and always gracious in defeat. These two will have a great rivalry and i cant wait to see more.

Unfassbar stark, was er da auf die Bühne bringt. Im Finale der Premier League-Saison einen 9-Darter zu spielen, ist das entsprechende Sahnehäubchen auf der Torte. Gute Darts zu spielen ist eine Sache, gute Darts in den Momenten zu spielen, wo es wirklich drauf ankommt, die andere. Und das macht er mit seinen 17 Jahren (^Zweifel^) so konstant wie aktuell niemand sonst. Chapeau!!!

I don't think MVG can ever be written off, however the aura he once had has disappeared, the way it did for Phil Taylor, Barney and every other former great. Michael's biggest weapon has been taken away from him - he had legitimate claim to call himself the best player in the world. He now cannot say that because the two Luke's are on another planet. I think once he reconciles with that we can see MVG win more, but he'll never get to dominate like he did for a small while.

Thoughts below: Incredible. Littler wasn't ready, they said. YES. HE. WAS. The youngest ever winner of a PDC major. And a 9 darter in the final to boot. I gotta applaud Humphries for that 132 in his semi-final against MVG too. How he got that second bullseye with where the first dart was, I will never know. One of the best checkouts I've ever seen. Darts just keep getting better and better and I'm all for it.

Everyone was correct to say he shouldn't have been involved, but it was clear that he was brought in due to his hype after the World Championships and the fact that he just turned 17. He could have had a campaign like Peter did this year going up against all former World Champions minus Aspinall, which will be incredibly tough for any newcomer, but he did very well indeed and now he has shown he can be involved in any tournament now.

What a fitting end to one of the most magical and memorable Premier League campaigns I can remember. No surprises in SemiFinal 1, Littler played out of his mind and Smith just didn't have the accurate scoring to keep up. SemiFinal 2, Humphries and MVG traded blows and at times it seemed like MVG was gonna go on to compete for a three-peat of Premier League titles. But Cool Hand lived up to his name again and ensured that there would be a new name on the PL trophy this year. And then in the final, Luke vs Luke. The matchup everyone had predicted from the start. Yet another hard hitting affair, with Littler and Humphries trading blows through the first 10 legs. Then Littler hit that legendary 9 dart finish in leg 11, and it all went the Nuke's way from there. Humphries tried his hardest to keep up, but there would be no denying Luke Littler his first major TV title. I am very highly looking forward to next year's campaign!
