In competitive play sure i agree, but i climbed from silver to diamond with the old fiora with a 75% wr. So i know some things about the champ. This champion is supposed to max w and e-q-e-q. You have the ability to one shot carries with q a e a tiamat q a. Back when ignite top was meta, fiora was probably one of the most snowbally champ. You think she was badly designed, but think about the champions back then. Old poppy, sion, nunu etc. yeah she seemed to be badly designed compared to new champs now but she wasnt nearly as bad as you described in this video. There were literally players that got to high challenger with the old fiora.

@@rhinex383 Exactly, I remember playing her in Season 3 and her being incredibly busted. If you finished ravenous hydra on her she can basically heal to full health with one ultimate. She wins most skirmishes she fights. The poke on her Q early game was crazy, it was a guaranteed double poke. Just Q, step back to kite, Q. It made her impossible to flash away from too. I remember her dominating every solo que I fought her in, or if I played her.

That was like the only reason anyone played her. When the entire enemy team started collapsing on you and you're like yes, come closer my pretties. Unfortunately people started learning that splash damage can't splash if you're not standing right next to everyone else. So toward the end you'd ult and people would spread out immediately and you'd end up just using the entire channel on the tank or something.

Udyr doesn't really need much change though. I think it'd be cool if his character changed a bit more when he changed stances, and I feel like it'd be cool if his skills actually did something more than just change stances. Udyr is also a champion I wish would have 20 levels instead of 18, although only getting skill points for the last 2 levels. As for Udyr being forgotten, it has gotten loads of balance changes over the years, so it's not nearly as bad as Fiora.

Nowadays I feel Yasuo is much more hated than Teemo. Teemo's shrooms are super annoying but he's such a simple champion that you always kinda know what to expect, even if the Teemo player is terrible. But Yasuo always reminds me of that old meme: "Our Yasuo... Their Yasuo". You never get a Yasuo that does "just fine" in a game. He either styles super hard or feeds his ass off, there's no middle term. Yasuo players seem like they don't want to let themselves get carried. They either carry hard or feed their asses off trying to look good, bringing their team down the drain with them. Also, the fact that many Yasuos love to flash their mastery emotes after extremely underwhelming plays, like they just did something impressive, really doesn't help their reputation

Especially with the Dragon changes. Bot lane has infinitely more priority for junglers. The first rift you get top side is pretty awful, and it's never hardly used well / it's too weak to use well. Plus there isn't that many top laners besides Garen that terrify me if they're fed.

Sadly the way top works now is either both pick melee bruiser/tanks and have a fun time 1v1ing each other, or one picks Vayne/Neeko/Teemo/Gnar/Kennen and completly remove the fun out of the other opponent for about 12 minutes. Counterpicks are also way to impactful and to add salt to the wound Herald is 100 times less import than Dragons.

*Fiora player since 2012, Explaining the Royal Guard Change and why it was actually really good* The rework to the Royal Guard actually made it one of my favourite skins for her. Based on the Royal French Guard, the rework version has a much better usage of the Royal Blue that was used to identify these guards. THEY FIXED HER HAT TOO! She used to look like a Pirate with the old hat, a symetrical flat and wide hat. New hat? Boom. The hat's bend on the left side allows her to downstrike with the wrist without cutting her hat in half. They also quite literally put a feather in her cap. Some people may be upset that they removed the cleavage from the skin, but honestly it makes more sense to me to represent the esteemed duelist of House Laurent serving now as a Royal Guard with a more sophisticated and dignified look. Fiora doesn't care about drawing attention with looks, but with actions and it's a small change that helps push that message. It also aligned the Splash Art and colour pallette to be more with the Three Musketeer Theme and when we finally recieve our third Musketeer we will have Fiora, Twisted Fate and some Mystery Champion as a Skin Trio which is a pretty cool idea tbh. When compared to 750RP for Nightraven which while okay is just Fiora if the Art Direction was "more red, more black, more cleavage", the option for 520RP to get a Royal Guard with an actual Duelist's Cap is really special for some players.

Be annoying not only by kit, but also because the things you can counter her is kinda minor, like slow, reducing attack speed, reducing heal (dd, ravenous hydra and bloodthirster won't get it either). Saying it other way - all defensive items' cost efficiency would be sent to hell. But all this just for annoying your opponent SO hard that even Teemo got amazed. Brilliant game design, just a holy hell toxic champ, who is just toxic, because all this stuff as a result anyway don't win games. And while I thought there is nothing more genius than that, Vayne steps in... Having the only problem Fiora is so idiotic champ - true percent damage.

Wow this came out really quick! I've watched all your documentary's at least twice, this is probably my favourite league content out there! (Sorry gbay) you've done vidoes on all these bruisers/carries, you should mix mix swirl mix it up with some singed. he's a champ with some long history, from mana stacking to full tank and now the full healing unkillable singed, it always seems like no matter what items/runes are strong, singed can find a way to use it. and for the last 2 seasons he's had a really strong winrate at all ranks, even topping the top lane winrate, but always a low pick rate, desipte barely any buffs or nurfs. Even when proguides puts singed as the best top lane pick, his pickrate barely goes up. I know me and the other singed mains on reddit would love to tell you what we think about playing singed over the years. Keep up the amazing content :D

When I see the title. Brings me back to use her again. I main her and I love her lores too, but it was very sad I didn't use the old fiora cuz I was a S7 started. When I see Fiora in the game. YES! It's very broken. If you didn't have attention on her passive. I use Fiora as my highest winrate ever since I was a noob Fiora back on S7, thx for the guides so I get it. On S8-S9 I got Pentakill 9 times. It was very fun to play her if you get attention to her passive also harass, health trades, and one of my best fighting is dueling. As an old fiora main, I was really upset by the rework, and while she did never get competitive, but she was a VERY effective pub smasher. Even without Tiamat stacking, A single Tiamat was enough to decimate a teamfight in a corridor.

I used to main old Fiora 😭 I was a one trick Fiora player, she was so fun. I remember with the right runes and masteries I would cheese the top laner with 109 AD at lvl 2 with red pot, bonus W AD, and using the mastery that would give 5 AD after using ignite

Fio as a champ currently is an aggravatingly simple duelist masquerading as a champ with a high skill ceiling when in reality shes been buffed to the point where she has lost any discernible identity of her own.

A good Fiora is like Darius where if your a melee and pick into her, you kind of get dicked all lane and all you can hope for is being more useful than her in team fights.

@@ClassicBeatBox the difference is that Darius has actually clear weaknesess. Darius needs to be fed to be relevant in his team. If he is not, it is very easy to outscale him. Has no mobilite, you can play around his Q, and if he fails his E, you have a window of almost 25 seconds to punish him. And the most important part, you are not force to fight him. In he other hand, Fiora has a passive that doesnt seem like it was designed to be in a PvP game giving her healing and free poke, harasment, and being lane bully. Lets not forget que if it hits que spot, she gets SM to back off and make it hard for you to punish her for engaing. You dont know how to fight her and you want to play a safe laning phase? Surprise, you cant tank yourself because her poke also makes true demage, so you like it or not, you have to fight her and build health and ofensive. Also becareful with dying or going to base, because now 2 of her abilities helps her to take towers faster. Meanwhile, Shen players (yes, one of my mains) cant hit towers with their Qs. Meanwhile, Fiora players can fill their ego while thinking about how pro they are for hitting a weakspot of the size of ¼ the the enemy's radius, making them stay back and not being able to farm just only because of she existing. So she not only is a lane bully, but she also can snowball and has good scaling. Sorry if you are a Fiora main and I offend you with the "ego" comment. I know not all players are like this, but I, and a lot other players really have stand a lot of cocky players, and a huge of they are Fiora mains jerking off over the thought of good duelists they are. Of course, she can be beaten, but the case change a lot when you fight against an actually good Fiora player. And again, you can beat her, but that doesnt take away how unfun it is to play against her, and how horribly designed she is for League being a PvP game.

@@kevinz2738 fiora can just poke you for huge dmg by striking vitals from her passive, even tanks like ornn have problem with that, while juggernaut like urgot isnt enough tanky to withstand this attacks, and deals too low damage to outburst her ( plus she can counter cc, and stun enemy with it ). she is annoying lane bully, many top laners have problem with her during laning, she just isnt usefull after that. she can wreck anyone 1v1, but in teamfights she just has annoying true damage and her ult can heal team after she kills

Loving these vids! I've been playing for a few years, since Yorick's rework. So seeing the history I missed out on is really something, and I really enjoy it. Here's a concept for a vid- You mention the whole thing about how pro play to single queue is vastly different, and that's true! And this applies to champs too. Some that are D tier in ranked are considered popular bans or picks in pro. And because of this, have had kits changed drastically to effect pro play, but crippling the champ in solo. Who am I talking about? Tahm Kench. I love this guy dearly but he's been tough to use lately! And so many changes, history, and having one heck of a shake up in how often he's been picked in pro and ranked, ect. Think about it! :)

Well, i love the new Fiora. Sometimes you play PvTower, sometimes you 1v5 outplay the enemy team. (And Fiora is insane buggy. You random hit marks u would never expect, sometimes you dont hit one that you think you have to hit. The W hitbox is completely weird too)

I was around for fiora's release. I can tell you on solo queue, she was insane. She ate everything. But she was item dependant after early game, no one ignored tiamat, no one ignored bloodthirster. then we had some adjustments and bug fixes and she felt odd. after that, she kind of became a weaker riven - you just didnt want to face her because she felt tedious to face, and was tedious to play.
