Don't worry about frequency, focus on quality. I watch a channel that posts like 3-4 videos per year, and they have many subs. So keep it up at your own pace.

I've been using cloud backup for years and it has saved my data three times now. I am meticulous about backing up my files as soon as I create them. You can never predict how you're going to lose them, like the time Windows Update rendered my system drive unbootable. I could see the files in DOS but not access them. I never put personal files on the system drive after that.

Keep going man! Just upgrade things when you get some extra cash like microphones, lighting and cameras/ go pro’s. People will geek out over diagnostic videos. Next time you have a regular car no start just strap on the go pro and film yourself figuring it out and post it. A lot of people will appreciate a Honda/Toyota no crank diagnostic tutorial of you verbalizing what you’re doing afterwards.

try making the sound mono/1 channel in the editor. the stereo soundstage doesn't really matter for these videos and it just makes the editing in that regard easier, so you don't have just sound on 1 channel or snafus like that. edit: don't sweat music or fancy timelapses or stuff like that! those can even be detrimental! whereas stuff like looking into the intake manifold or whatever and listening about how it works is always a good time.

Sorry for the loss. Are you sure your videos aren’t in the cloud?
@briandeschene84248 ай бұрын
You are an awesome technician mechanic. Unfortunately, doing it on KZbin means you are learning you also need to be an IT bithead (what I do) - at least to a small degree. Primary lesson: Back up your data; for you that’s your raw recorded video footage. It needs to be stored in more than one place and one of those places needs to be under your control and sole jurisdiction - no one else’s. Since you are very intelligent, you probably already realize this and will make arrangements with separate physical or Cloud storage. And I make this post not to say I told you so since that would be silly of me. But to let you know many of us, whose product is data of some kind, had to learn this lesson the hard way too. Good luck and continued best wishes to you in this endeavour!

Pardon my ignorance, but shouldn’t the footage be on a cloud somewhere? Film it, upload, then the editor grabs a copy of footage to edit.

You must be recording audio on just one channel (right or left) because I don’t hear any audio on this video. My TV is set up with only one speaker coming out of the receiver because I only watch sports and KZbin , so I don’t need stereo. Unfortunately, I’m not the audio channel you’re using. I’m just letting you know because there are undoubtedly other people like me. I can hear the Car Wizard’s and Hoovie’s videos fine and 99.9% of other YT videos great, but this video is like a silent movie.
