Harbaugh has gotten as much as he could out of the pieces he has right now. There's just not enough firepower and one offseason wasn't enough to change that. Still, going from picking in the top 5 to most likely a playoff berth year one is nothing to be ashamed of. One more stellar offseason from Joe Hortiz and the Chargers will be in serious business.

Between some calls, AND the fact that Herbert got hung out to dry by his own receivers. Palmer and Johnson had what, 2-3 dropped passes in the 4th alone? You have to make plays when your QB is putting it on the money.

It was always a multi year project to fix the mess that Telesco and Staley left - there was too much to fix in one offseason. They still need to gut the WR room and find a TE passing threat and find a long term solution for center and guard positions. Another offseason and a ton of cap room will allow them to fix much of that. They have some major building blocks in place and another good draft by chef Hortiz and the sky is the limit going forward.

It's only year 1 with Jim. There are still missing pieces. The cap has already been fixed. J.Herbert and that defense is why this record is what it is. Charger's fans need to understand, you don't spend money at this stage this season. When the team is close for those deep playoff runs, that's when you spend extra money to get the extra fire power. Also Jim is one year removed from college football. Guarantee the coaching staff already has eyes on names the mainstream football world hasn't heard yet.

chargers are gonna be fine under harbaugh. This was a rebuild year, theyre taking care of business against the bad teams, losing (as expected) against the good teams. Herbert's receivers not doing him any favors. Give them another year and theyll def keep improving. Chargers fans, u are in good hands. Harbaugh turned around stanford, San Fran, Michigan, and he'll do the same here. Just watch

As a charger fan id agree, Quentin Johnston dropped a chance to be great. He dropped any hope the chargers had at being the most surprising one seed of all time. This team has a HARD ceiling no matter how hard Herbert tries to break it. This man battled through so much just to have greatness bounce off the facemask of Quentin Johnston. Ladd needs 15 targets.

The Chargers FEASTED on a 4th place schedule! They’ve beat up on bad teams and showed they aren’t there yet against good teams. Herbert is a CYBORG, McConkey looks like a solid WR2, Slater and Alt are probably the best OT tandem in the league, Bosa, Mack, Tuli, and Dupree are a nasty pass rush combo. There’s talent there but they’ll lose Mack and Bosa after the season, have to pay Slater, Dobbins and Edwards are one year rentals at RB, Herbert’s real money kicks in, and they have no talent at WR/TE outside of a rookie slot. Going to be very interesting to see how they attack the offseason…
