No one wins in the modern NFL with a run game. The last team to win a Super Bowl with a power run game was the 2014 Seahawks, TEN years ago. They had an elite RB and a legendary defense. The Chargers have nothing anywhere close. NFL has completely changed since 2014, it's now a passing league. Power football won't work, just ask the Titans how thats gone the past 8 years with Henry. They damn well better get an elite WR with that 5th pick and get some weapons for Herbert or this team will be a massive failure.

@@michaelbell75 FBs are low value signings, they'll get WR and weapons in the draft (looks like Nabers of MVH), wouldn't be surprised if they sign another FA WR after the draft as well on a discount. Knocking a Ben Mason signing for what is probably less than a million seemed like a pointless reply. Your right those teams have a lot of weapons. But You'd think those teams with all those weapons on the outside (and defenses gameplanning for those players) they wouldn't need a FB yet they still run one in half the offensive plays. For a team thats been atrocious in the running game for years, its nice to at least see a different attempt. We had weapons in Keenan allen, and mike williams for years with zero running game. So back to the original point i find this to be a nice signing, but to each there own.

We don’t need Tyler Boyd we need Harrison or Nabers in the first round and draft another receiver in the third or fourth round and the receiver position will be fixed. The money spent on Tyler Boyd would be better served on a free agent CB or Tackle or DL. Use the draft picks on skill players and fix those positions. Next year we fix the rest of the roster and let be realistic that it’s going to take more than one year to fix this team

Please hear me out. Although I love the juggernaut, style of TEs, FB/TE , RB, the Chargers are assembling, I do worry about how a 262 Million $ QB, with a golden arm fits it? Unless they plan on utilizing Justin Herbert's legs, in RPOs, they may be wasting their QBs true talents! Other teams will definitely dread playing these Bolts though.

It's no coincidence that Lamar finally wins in the playoffs and gets to the AFC championship game once Roman is gone and they finally draft an elite WR.
