In this video I'm showing my Charizard ex deck list that with some added spice can be a pseudo control deck adding multiple "modes" to the deck's playstyle and allowing it to have a favoured matchup into nearly everything including other control decks. Thanks for this. The current list for Zard I just am not comfortable with but I've been testing this control Zard archetype and I like it but now I realize playing Penny over Turo makes more sense for the loop. Definitely testing this.

Is there a reason you use penny instead of turo? Can't penny pidgeot if it gets stuck.

Main reason is to keep the energy on leki when you have to penny loop it

do you just lose against snorlax if you prize penny and use switch before getting her

Pretty much but you can still try to play as optimally as possible and usually take a decent amount of prizes odds of prizing penny into a block lax and then not taking it off some prizes is pretty low

What about using the misfortune sisters instead of Eri?

something me and some friends have thought of but it's probably too niche/better odds you hit important resources in opponent's hand if you time it right compared to MFS which is always random and you don't have space for both

@Akkumuman there are some times as a knowledgeable player where you can make reads that are a little hard to describe but you just sorta know based on actions opponents make. But there are also the obvious cases of something like they hit pokestop and didn't use all those items that turn so you know for a fact they are in opponents hand. Also just generally when your opponent has a big hand especially early game when they wouldn't be feasible to use like mirror match they set up their board t1+instant charge and there's a good chance they're sitting on a candy they simply couldn't have played t1.
