Now you all just need to start a class at BYU that teaches this dance, Vernacular Jazz, Lindy Hop, etc. Bring more African American and historically significant styles to campus.

24-year-old female here: dancing like this is SO FUN, and it makes me so sad that more people my age don’t know it! I’m lucky that I grew up in a Christian community where all the young people lived to do west coast swing and Lindy hop. It’s WAY more fun, entertaining, romantic, and athletic than the weird jigging and twerking in place young people do at clubs and dance bars in the 21st century.
