Charlie Jr. Awesome podcast! Was blessed to interview your dad in radio and meet and greets. He blessed and ministered to a lot of people. We were blessed to offer him an honorary pastors credentials. He politely and humbly declined because of his past flaws. Really a blessing to have known him and a lot of the CDB family. Hello from North Carolina, about 3 hours North of Wilmington. I'm now a retired sound engineer and back in the late 70's/early 80's I was the sound engineer for Molly Hatchet and we did several shows with the CDB and once Charlie and I got to talking and as soon as he found out I was also a North Carolina boy, Bailey, NC to be exact, we became friends. Charlie knew exactly where Bailey was at. From that day talking with Charlie on, he always knew me by name, and he treated me like I was his family. One of my all time favorite CDB songs was Carolina (that grand old lady from the south) because #1 I'm from North Carolina and #2 every word of that song reminds me of my Grandmother and both my Mother at the same time. Every word describes my youth, how I was raised up in a Christian family, it describes both of my Grandmother's down to the smallest details and it reminds me so much of my earth Angel which my Sister and I were blessed to call our Mother. God I miss her so much on a daily basis. Now days of I mix any sound or play my guitars it's always in our church with the praise and worship team! God knows I played in some really bad, rough places, our drummer got shot one night during our last break before doing our last set for the night, we finished the set then took Joey to the ER buy HIS request. Mr. Charlie Daniels did more for modem southern rock crossing over into country music than ANY other musician has in my lifetime and I'm 62 years old now heading towards 63 rapidly. ✝️❤️🇺🇲🙏 WWG1WGA!!!

Thank you so much for reading your dad's I guess you'd call it testimony because it blessed me so much. I Met Your Dad on several occasions before and after he was saved at Ponderosa park in Ohio my band Stoney River open for cdb and what a blessing he was to our band he never slided us treated us like he's known as forever and when he got saved I was already saved but what a blessing I cried and I cried and thank God that he had gotten saved and to hear you speak today you're carrying on your dad's Legacy of Christianity God bless you brother you blessed me so much you had me in tears of the Lord throughout your whole podcast looking forward to hear the next God bless you till next time

Your Dad was a great guy that l had the pleasure of being his personal security when he performed at Taj Mahal in Atlantic City some years back .l have some pics we took that night after he performed, and he told me the story about the Corvette and how it change his life. I've worked over 1000 concerts in my 20 yrs of protecting celebs, and believe me when l tell you your Dad hands down was the absolute most humble gentleman. I rarely got to work with people as kind as he.
