Much love for this series of videos as they have helped immensely. Question for yeah! I have a 22s that I'm building and its going to running a XR10 Pro Elite G2 and a 4.5 v10 G3. I currently have both the stock dual capacitor and the X Module soldered at the battery terminal at the ESC. I picked up the Hobbywing 4 pack capacitor and want to make sure Im being as safe as possible with the ESC and was wondering if I should add the 4 pack to my existing setup or remove one of both of the other capacitors. Great stuff . I recently bought a Losi 22s drag chassis and also an xr10 pro , which I purchased after watching yr clip . I'm thinking an xerun 4.5 t motor would be competitive. Thanks .

One of my concerns was the motor limits on the esc. XR10 Pro I believe says down to 5.5t. I realize that’s meant for buggy or onroad racing. I have a HW 4.5t motor and was hoping to use the XR10 pro or XR8 pro.

You wouldn’t believe how many people that believe they get more power increasing the rate to 150% on the remote after the esc is calibrated at 100.

Here is a question that I have never seen addressed, I was hoping it would be covered when you mentioned timing the motor mechanically. How is timing addressed by the ESC? In other words; if I mechanically time the motor to 30 degrees for example, and I wish to bring in 10 degrees more using the "turbo" feature on the ESC for a total of 40 degrees overall. Do I set the ESC turbo for 40 degrees, or 10 degrees?

Great stuff man! Lots of good information presented clearly and precisely! My slash based drag car has the Hobbywing XR8 ESC and the 3652 4-pole 5200 KV motor. Because I'm paralyzed and cannot use my hands I haven't been able to run it yet because I don't have any help, hopefully we'll have a test and tune session soon. I just wanted to ask you if you could recommend a starting pinion/spur gear set? I'll be running the Proline reactions. My thoughts so far were, being a 4-pole motor with a mild KV rating somewhere around a 17/86 would be a good starting point, would you agree with that? Thanks in advance for any suggestions! And also, thank you for the videos with all the great information and help! I really like the HW electronics.

The biggest question I have is I am really interested in the xr8 pro g2 for drag racing. I currently run a 3.5t fantom motor. This esc will run with that motor in full sensored mode correct? Can I run a 2.0-2.5 turn motor on this esc?

At this time, boost and turbo only work on HW E8th motors. "handling" super low turn motors is something there is no solid answer for as it depends directly on setup. But if setup/install/geared/timed correctly, should be the best ESC to handle that loads and live through the usages.

Is there anyway to soften the launch with the XR10 Pro G2? Basically I want punch control but this ESC doesn't seem to have that.

Would have been helpful if you also mentioned that the XR8 cant do sensored and turbo on non Hobbywing 1/8th scale motors, just wasted a purchase on one of these for drag racing based on your video, yes i can see it mentioned by others in the comments, but maybe pin one of those comments so others then know

Hello, For pinion gear, start out in the "Low 20s" to be safe. Most vehicles have a larger spur gear for motor motor setups in the 80ish size range.

Yes, it is. Xerun series all work fine with the OTA, or the LCD Box.

I bought the the xerorun R2 3300kv brushless system for a 1/10 rc. Going with a venom lipo charger but what's a good battery for brushless? I was looking at a particular venom battery and someone said that it wasn't a good fit for brushless motors. Is this a true possibility? Looking for a 3s with a good run time of 90minutes for a rock racer / trail / crawler build. Meaning fair amount of wide open throttle ( 30% ) I'd say a good (50%) trailing mid speed in and out and (20%) use for crawling and slow stuff. If anyone could help me out I wanna get the most out of this system without causing damage or shorting myself in power punch or run time. Thank you in advance
