This was made in a wonderful era where people could actually take a joke...
@rageagainstthehygiene23578 жыл бұрын
No they couldn't, they pissed off so many people that they were repeatedly dragged through court, arrested, taken off the air temporarily, and ultimately sacked.
@13minutestomidnight6 жыл бұрын
Certainly they pissed people off (enormous understatement), but at least the majority of the general public of Australia could take a joke or at least be intelligent enough to see the joke for what it was. Now we're getting closer and closer to Americans, where ridiculous behaviour is treated seriously, and people actively ignore information (or context) that is inconvenient or conflicts with their point of view...to a far greater extent than everyone else on the planet.

Man they need to bring this show back. Given the childish outrage at the drop of a hat these days they'd need to be twice as careful, but even if the shock factor was drawn back abit & they focussed more on speaking truth to 2023's plaguing issues I'm sure they'd have a massive viewership.

The key word paolopedretti used was 'murder,' not suicide, and clear data has shown that an ease of access to firearms increases the likeliness of gun homicide phenomenally. In Australia between 1995 and 2006 (gun laws came into effect in 1996), firearm homicide decreased by 59%.

WTF do you mean Australia is a 1 1/2 world country? look, I know we don't have any cars and have to get around on kangaroos, but if you have been to Aus and have been to the US, you would have to wonder what America was if Australia is a '1.5th' world country, whatever the fuck that means.

But those gun laws are only so tight because of the murder problems in the first place due to Mostly gang turf wars. The gun laws are not the problem its the gangs who can source illegal guns anyway. However a 0 gun law could help

the effects of gun laws in austrailia are inflated due to the fact that is a huge frakin island. United states gunlaws wouldn't stop gun violence, and would just lead to another "war on" statement, which we simply can't afford - the geography of mexico and its cartels would make gun violences worse even, because consumers would be forced to use automatic & illagel guns. the demand for these isn't around because of legal guns atm. BTW, Also. austrailia is like a 1 1/2 world country....

eh... america is completely safe if you don't life "up in da hood" which is where most of the violence takes place, also those polls take in suicide rates which are much higher in america (most** due sudden ship from childhood to adulthood). Also when you compare it on a scale of percentages based on population, america is definately not number one, compared to most other developed(1st world) europeon,asian, central asian, austrailian countries and nations
