I would say considering the cost and time difference between the jet boil and the Ao2 (2 seconds) and roughly $90, the Ao2 is the clear winner

I literally just found you because of the isobutane canister video. Then saw this so. Had to subscribe immediately. Very professionally done videos. Helped with some decision making as well. I will continue to watch your videos as I like how you present them and how you take the time to have a few variables as possible in the tests.

Great video! I just got my AOTU today (paid $10.99 for mine) and for the money I can't complain. I've burned it at home but haven't taken it out to the woods yet but I will try it soon!

Good review. I bought the AOTU, but by a different name, close to seven years ago. It still works great as having the plastic box protects it from damage. Only downside I found: Only use small pots as the pot support arms have a small diameter. I just bought a second stove to keep in my truck bug-out bag.

I have been using the A02 and Coleman fuel combo for years on my camping trips. By far the best value and for me it's been very reliable. 100% and would recommend for any campers. My last question is how it performs in cold weather. Would like to see that test. Great video.

I bought a very similar stove to the AOTU (mine's branded as Icetek), back in 2013. I still have it, and I think it's brilliant. Paid £5-11 including delivery. 😎

Wicked!! I just found out this is the stove that came with my cookset (Amazon), and then I find this video! First one/stove I've ever owned, and I'm really impressed with it. More so after watching this video. Enjoying my first pot of tea boiled on it right now! The next cup will be in the bush, somewhere. Looking forward to many great sights with this little turbo. Thanks for investing/sharing your time to do the review!!

I thought I was set on buying jetboil but now I'm thinking Olicamp especially the much lighter weight than jetboil. Thanks for the great information you put out, glad I found this channel

I got the orange one, with a Stanley pot. Seems to work well. But I'm looking to make a free stand grill to go over it for more stability.

Good video, I would have liked to see a fuel consumption comparison on high, but loved the video. I just subscribed.

I find it interesting that the cheap stove with the Coleman gas reached 1160 degrees when in the original canister test the Coleman only reached approximately 950.

I didn't catch that there was a difference. I used the same thermocouple but the meters were different and the units weren't the same. 200 f is a big split

The Sideburn Hunter I may have remembered the wrong number from the first video but I think it was correct as it was one of the cooler burning canisters. It seems like your testing is as consistent as possible, I’m just wondering if even a small difference in where the thermocouple is in the flame can make a big difference.

My calcs show 986 f vs 1119 f. Sensor placement was consistent, however it did suffer some heat damage while making this video. It was super cheap so I will be sure to use something else if I do any more of these tests. I appreciate your genuinely constructive comments. It's refreshing given some of the trash that people take the time to type

I bought the AOTU and it stopped working after 10 days on the trail. It worked beautifully before then. I tried it on various canisters and then tried other stoves on the same canisters to make sure the canister wasn't the problem. It wasn't. The valve just stopped working. My takeaway: this is cheap and if you get a good one, it's worth the money. But there is definitely a chance of getting a bad one. Quality control is not a priority with a $15 stove. I'm unwilling to put my future ability to eat on the chance that i got a good one, so I decided on quality this time around.

Thanks for testing! If you want to test another one, try the BRS titan burner. It costs me 14,99 €, it weights whopping 27 grams and is not as flimsy as the AOTU (wich is a brand for a no-name chinese company, my was branded LIOOBO for 10,78 €). Disadvantage of the BRS is it has no piezo starter. But hey. 27 grams! And it packs WAY smaller than the AOTU.

Funny how the jetboil flash design is almost identical to AOTU now.

the jet boil isn't as great or as popular as you think it is I also have the AO2 stove and I can tell you that it also works great with a propane and butane gas canister so it can run on both

Newbie here (with some decades behind me not new to life but new to this stuff) with a Q for anyone who knows: So I just got the AOTU stove and a Toaks 70 ml cup and did a test boil with a standard Primus 8 oz canister. I found I could not make the 3 minute boil time unless I cranked the thing up to what seemed like all the way AND, in the bottom of the cup, there was a quarter sized bright red spot, as if the thing might burn through the bottom of the cup. Sooo, all systems normal? Something might be wrong? Please advise. Thanks.
