I'd like to buy Studio version but won't until clip swap is fixed. In versions after 19.03 I can't click on V1, V2, etc in the timeline to then press F11 and swap clips with a clip from media pool.

We bought a 6k studio cam, hd8 iso switcher and 40x40 thinking any black magic purchase came with any hardware purchase and was disappointed it wasn’t included. So with the single licence I can have it on two of mu computers and have them both working at the same time, reason im asking is I have a couple Macs, one that my 7 year old grandson uses as he loves editing, yep he can use davinci really well, we often make videos together then edit them to see who has done the best edits and so on, we have the free version but if I can have it on two at the same time and use at the same time then this is great

I cannot confirm this as I don't want to say yes, for you then to have issues. But I have given codes out to people in different countries and it's been fine. But, I would double check with Blackmagic directly first.

In the new version 19.1 the mouse cursor constantly rotates (blue circle) during the edit. As if something is affecting the work behind the scenes. Please everyone sent a report to blackmagic in order to fix it. Thank you

Somehow, da vinci resolve studio 19.1 is stuttering like anything after a few minutes of smooth editing. 18.4 was never an issue. Is anyone else facing issues? And does anyone have a possibile fix?

You only need to buy it once and you have it for life, so no need to buy it again when the next version comes out.

You get free updates for life. Just download and install install. Two minutes job. Note that 'for life' means life of the product, not life of you. The day may come when they have to release a completely new version. If you want it you may have to pay for it. But the old platform will keep working forever but without future updates. It's just the nature of software. As hardware and operating systems evolve new software product platforms are needed. I'm sure Resolve is years away from that but it'll probably happen eventually. Or the company will have a change in management policy or product strategy and decide to shorten product life, to release something new and make more money. Or switch to a license model like most other companies seem to be doing now. Photoshop is probably the most notorious example of this. Anyway as it stands this is a great deal for pro level software. Resolve is awesome.

Make sure the firmware is current. Some earlier firmware versions had Bluetooth connectivity loss issues (work around was to connect via USB-C, then disconnect the USB-C and the Bluetooth would then be working).

VAT? …….Value After Tax? (had to look that up) So according to your video £37it really costs £185 in the Uk then you’re scammed by the government into paying £37 more… That’s crazy. I don’t think 20% is a good discount at all I think as a one off special if they were to drop it by 40% as a Black Friday deal until cyber Monday they’d more than make their money back just by the actual increase in sales for a few days. I bet more people would buy it in 4 days than they would in 4 months maybe even a year.

Value Added Tax, tax basically. I think 20% by Blackmagic is a solid discount tbh. It's already one of the cheapest suites around, and is available for free with hardware AND there's a free version.

if you are a business user and vat registered you can claim the vat back. basically you don't have to register for vat until your business has a turn over of 90k in any rolling 12 months, or you can register if you want to even if under that 90k, but you could end up out of pocket depending hat sort of business you have
