I bought this thing after watching this video and was not disappointed. I use it at 30-40% volume and it's plenty loud already and i can't comprehend needing more unless you're in a construction site or something (or maybe hard of hearing, it could be a point of consideration) even then, the app has a boost volume option, though not sure by how much this boosts the volume and i wasn't going to make myself deaf finding out. The delay is pretty bad, it's about half a second, maybe more. "Low latency" option in the app doesn't help much if at all, definitely a deal breaker if you're gaming competitively

Thank you for the review! I got these yesterday and I'm really happy with them, it's my first pair of wireless buds so I didn't want to spend too much. Imo the touch controls are great and I agree that the design looks more expensive than they are, I just hope I will manage to keep my case cleaner than you XD

it also doesnt support the AAC codec but redmi buds4 lite does, and the prices are currently similar in temu. Its a little strange strategy of xiaomi🤓

Listening to this video with My redmi buds 6 play.... I bought 2 for me and the misses both cost less than $20 USD and the are actually good. I listen to them at about 70 volume and it's totally fine

​@@altonschannelit's not my first redmi buds but the cheapest and one of the best because I don't feel like I'm wearing them for education purposes I can tell u some faults 1) sometimes if your watching video and get a call , when the call ends it sometimes don't switch seamless back to the video audio so for like 2-3 seconds your hearing the loud speaker from your phone. 2) if the case dies it won't pair until it's at least 20% charge.... To be honest the case hardly dies and know how to use them to get a whole day of use.

Good question. Honestly I’d say 6 Play. I don’t think they are too different although I do remember the 4 Active having a better microphone

if theyre not loud enough i believe you can force it on your phone but risking depleting those buds' battery more and would require root (like viper4fx to force the output decibel to higher levels) there are also non-root methods but i would not recommend

@@altonschannel I'm using a custom ROM (more like GSI ROMs) with root tho and sometimes their Audio is just not loud that I just use viper4fx or Moto DolbyFX to yank it to a hearable level in some cases (but there are PixelOS GSI that solved that issue like the issue of weak audio at 100% non-existent, bad thing is that the PixelOS project is still ongoing but for the maintainer of the GSI gave up) My phone's stock rom however, the audio quality is just plain bland and would regularly cause some severe audio stutters so I can't stick to the stock (fk Samsung for ruining the update)

Active will resemble AirPods the most so if you want a similar experience go for that. The only benefit of the buds play is that passive noise isolation.

If you want better microphone, don’t get the play, get the lite. I have the microphone test of the lite in the comparison video between the active and the lite. Make sure you give it a listen to make sure you’re okay with it. Hope this helps!

Gosh i should've found your video sooner. I literally just ordered online the redmi buds 6 play and i was SOOO underwhelmed by the sound quality and volume. Like i have to turn up to full volume just to hear everything. Earbuds shouldn't be like that! Honestly, it's a bit overpriced for its sound quality. Sooo underwhelming.
