Excellent Start! As someone who has been snowmobiling for 50 years, I will give you some pointers: (1) The killer of snowmobiles is weight and rust. Learn how to weld Aluminum. (2). The bogie wheels are bad. Every time you hit a bump, you hit it 24 times(each wheel). Also, Bogies have a tendency to vibrate off the track, causing snow settlement, and getting stuck. It is also more friction. Come up with a slide rail design. (3) Put sides on your track tunnel(Lawyers will get you for feet getting stuck in there), and vent the exhaust into the tunnel(it will be quieter and the track will not melt).(4) Mount your engine in front of the track so the weight is located lower. High mounted engines cause the snowmobile to be top heavy, and it won't turn as well, and the sled will capsize like a boat on deep powder. Keep Improving it, I would buy one.

basically a vintage snowmobile like they made in the USA in the 1960s. tried and true technology that's simple and works.

It's nice to see things built for average people. Everyone else just builds bigger and more expensive making it less accessible to people.

Bogey wheels in the track is 1950-1960's technology, I was told they break and are difficult to replace.

bogey wheel is the best way to go ..drive on anything with out worry of your sliders wearing down ..keep up your maintenence and youd be good forever just dont be dumb with it

We still use bogie wheels on our main battle tank ( m1 Abrams tank) and they never break , generally it's the final drives or the torsion bars

Impressive in deep snow, that motor makes plenty of power for its purpose, mechanical disc brake is utterly reliable down to the coldest of temperatures, as long as it has a big rotor and large enough pads, power should be ok.

using a simple 4 stroke small engine it would be very easy to upgrade engine to have more power ..or build that motor
