Oh, I feel compelled to leave a comment below this video. Regarding the issue of lubricant turning black, the black color comes from iron particles on the blade. Due to the characteristics of white teflon, it becomes more pronounced. No need to worry; you can dismantle and clean them at any time. We have put in a lot of effort to make maintenance very simple without compromising its solid state. When it comes to durability, we have crafted Cheese with high precision to ensure it can withstand numerous drops without tapping too much. Through extensive testing, we ultimately opted for teflon material because of its strong adhesion properties, ensuring that even after being dropped, the surface can greatly minimize color fading. As for the mention of 'first' in the video refers to our Nabalis collection, a cute and public-friendly trainer. Squiddy is undoubtedly a very good public-friendly balisong that we also adore, and we believe there is a need for more public-friendly balisongs for the community. Why did we try so hard to create a public-friendly balisong and emphasize this point loudly? What we have noticed is that for more individuals, balisong fliping is primarily used for recreational purposes. As a dedicated community member striving within the balisong community, we earnestly desire for the community to flourish, and we are working towards that goal. When it comes to the form and definition of being public-friendly, I believe everyone has a different perspective. While I ultimately disagree on things like public flippability I can't deny you guys going out and actually testing it as well as the fact that you guys are doing great things for the hobby in general. @@nabalis9626 im pretty sure the vulp had teflon coating on it but ygs didnt really like say it was worlds first teflon coated or whatever. but id like to hear from nabalis, me and my friend are trying to decide whether to get a cheese, vulp, or mako v4.5. im leaning more towards the cheese but i kind of want a more knife looking balisong as i already have a squiddy and like the more knifelike design of the vulp. id like to hear your guys’s insight or more suggestions (looking for sub 100$ bali) thanks! 🙏🏻

While I do agree on your points with it not being completely public friendly, holes in a white blade is a decent description of being public friendly in my opinion. Nice video

Holes unfortunately don't communicate "not sharp" to someone unfamiliar with knives.

Thanks for the mention! Great points in this follow up video. The oil leaking is annoying, but at least it does wipe off pretty cleanly, albeit onto my hands. Definitely a weird choice Nabalis made marketing-wise and I will be keeping my Cheese inside to protect its coating for sure. However, like you said, the Cheese is a fantastic option for a beginner or someone looking to grow their collection! It's cool to hear how the Cheese flips similar to the kraken v3 trainer, between it and the Squidtrainer, I don't feel the need to own one as much. I will enjoy flipping my cheesy bread 🧀 🍞

I agree with the public friendly because flippers would say “well it’s obviously not sharp because it has holes” for any trainer but the average person knows nothing about knives and wouldn’t know that something with holes can’t still be sharp

I largely get away with my magenta AL as a public flipper, but even with friends telling me it looks like an adult toy, I’ve been stopped and asked if it was sharp. Love the look of the cheese but once it’s flipping nothing is above questioning from others

You're not doing anything that's hurting them in any way whatsoever and if they don't like it and don't want to ask any questions to try to clear up any misunderstandings then that's their problem

Unfortunately that doesn't cover the multiple times people have dealt with police after "not doing anything that hurts them". People are afraid of what they don't understand and "coddling" them is what some people have to do to avoid getting the police involved.

I think something they could do to HELP balisongs be more public friendly is make the blade orange. I emphasize help because just doing that wont make it public friendly, but with orange being "the safe color" with toy guns and all I think it would make a bali MUCH more public safe

I don't think that would really do anything here unfortunately, although it would be nice to come up with a universal standard for a safe trainer similar to what airsoft has with the orange tipped guns
