Amazing John, that is spectacular that is pal. I’m one very, very proud 😀owner of many of the plants Iv seen in your prairie border because of the videos you upload and I plan to propagate every single one of them all so my borders look like yours. X lovely seeing all your plants at different times of the year too x

Wow! What a difference! This is exactly what I needed. All of my perennials in my long border (which is on a slope) along the driveway have just flopped over and are a mess. Next year, i will give them the Chelsea Chop! Thank you, John!

Hi, did you end up trying it this year? Also, what's it like planting on a slope? I've often wished I had one for the drama of it, plus the drainage.

It looks absolutely beautiful John, I do it to my tall phlox partially cut it just outside shoots by 1/3 and it works the same way extending blooming season and certainly deer does a good job every year too on some phlox by eating it half way but it works the same way lol

Fantastic. I’m going to give this a try with my yarrows and black & blue salvia.

Ahh, great to see this comparison. I didn't know it was called the Chelsea Chop, but I do it on a number of my perennials. Next year I'm going to try it on Russian sage, to hope for a less flopping and fuller blooms.
