I was born and raised in Louisiana, I'm 51 now and 36 years ago, I walked up on a bigfoot while I was deer hunting in deep woods on a freezing cold, windy day. I've hunted, camped and fished the lakes and swamps of Louisiana my whole life and in that 36 years, I've never seen another one or even a track but that one time, of seeing it with my own eyes changed my life forever.

I was deer hunting in the Cherokee wildlife management area. I used the Zeb entrance. I walked east and south some. Not sure how far but I was sitting in my tree stand waiting for the sun to come up. I noticed a BIG black mass kinda doing the same thing. The deer started across a “small” clearing, about 50 yards wide. The deer stopped looked straight at the black mass a beat feet the other way. Before long this thing stood up a followed them. I thought it best not to make any noise or move at all. Although, when this thing started across the clearing it looked right at me. Scared the daylights out of me. I never went back in those woods before light at all… ever. I ended up dating the girl that lived across the road. I told her the story and her dad agreed with me. Just something I’ll never forget. Thought I’d share it with you.

I am from the A NI WA YAH clan (Wolf) ....... I was not informed of my Cherokee ancestry until I turned 16 years old!!! I used to always wonder how my Mom maintained her 'tan' year round - LOL. My family had their reasons for not informing me - which I did NOT agree with, but I wasted no time catching up on my culture once I knew....... Now, I want to officially join the Cherokee Nation -- but my family is resisting and angry with me! For some reason they want me to continue with the false identity of a 'white' person, which I don't fully understand. But then again, there is still a very heavy undercurrent of racism where they live in South Carolina - so that is part of it. However, I live up North now, and I am officially looking into the process. I just wish I had their support! ANYWAY --- I feel most at home in the outdoors, the woods and forests of New England. AND I also have been on an 8 year adventure of seeking and documenting proof of Bigfoot in the forests of New England. I feel my Cherokee ancestry plays a large part in my desire to do this ...... Both my father, grandfather and grandmother spoke of seeing a creature which is exactly as described by other claimants. One time a sighting was at Horseshoe Bend of the Illinois River between Stilwell and Tahlequah off of Highway 51 by both my grandfather and grandmother while fishing. I know this is a very popular location now and I am sure there have been additional sightings. We moved to Oklahoma City in 1949 and sometime in the early sixties built a cabin at Lake Tenkiller. I heard many deer hunters tell of spotting a creature unknown to them and described as a very tall gorilla. Keep up the research and I personally believe from the tales of the Cherokee Nation they are here and have been here for many years.

I’ve found very odd rock structures in the middle of the mountains near my house hiking and you could throw rocks or sticks at them and they would not fall over and when my and a friend did manage to throw a big rock on one and it fell over, it sounded like a cannon or huge rock hitting another behind us across the creek and the woods fell completely silent and we ran back. Early on in the video I am concluding this concerns the Oklahoma Cherokee, and not the remnant eastern Cherokee. We live in Arkansas, on the edge of the Oklahoma Cherokee Nation. @Eziekle Crafts, I correspond with a lot of bigfoot researchers and hunters. I have asked them if they carry on telepathic conversations with the big guys. Not one has ever said yes, and many simply think it's preposterous. Similarly, researchers and hunters frequently remark how the creatures will flinch at the moment of hunter-to-creature contact. Clearly, the big guys didn't know any one was around. If you think you're carrying on telepathic conversations with bigfoots, it may be a signal you need some help. (I'm not saying that sarcastically or condescendingly.)

I used to live in the south west corner of missouri, near Jane,MO but back in the woods at the end of a dead end road and lived there for a couple years. About twice a year we would e "visited". Never laid eyes on it but the most foul odor would creep up through the ravine and STENCH is the only way to describe it. Smelled like a wet dog that had been rolling in a carcass. I was always certain it had to be a sasquatch because it would only last for day. If it was just something dead it would stink for days if not weeks. My wife of the time was also pretty sure she was stalked one night as she made her way down the hill into the house while me and some others were enjoying a bonfire up the hill in a clearing at the top of our property.

While it was all eerie, I’m not sure I ever really felt in danger though.

I always listen to them because I can FEEL them just like they can feel what I'm doing and what I'm thinking. When I am successful I always let them know I am leaving part of the hunt for them. I've seen them with me from north Carolina, missisppi, oaklahoma, colorado, new mexico, Arizona, utah, wyoming, canada. I only got harrassed by one in california up in the hills but it was me in thier territory so I had to pull my 44 mag. for protection but slowly backed away using my handsign that I was in the wrong place when he got aggressive I simply cocked the pistol and keep backing away shaking my head and hand that I was going.

Thank you for a calm, sane, dignified report on Bigfoot. It's rare and satisfying to hear and see things like this without the air of theatrical hype and sideshow mentality usually displayed by crackheads with time on their hands and just enough high tech intelligence to make everything that moves in a video and every falling twig a hiding Bigfoot that is about to pounce. A relative of mine saw a Bigfoot in broad daylight not far from Stilwell, where I live, and he said it was neither horrifying nor upsetting. In fact it seemed to be one of the most profoundly moving experiences of his life. Some people just like being scared. They try to be scared when there is little to be scared of. I prefer to think of Bigfoot as new relatives I haven't met yet. Laugh if you want. I could do worse. Have you seen all of yours?

I raised my arm in greeting and my friend did the same. He then just turned and calmly walked away through the trees. I felt no fear at all. Just the excitement of the moment I KNEW. BIGFOOT EXISTS. AWE, that I was one of the people who are aware of the Forest Kings.

@@kathleendunham4821 With so much sightings having taken place, why aren’t they being acknowledged by the government and by primatologists. It’s time the truth of their existence is officially proven once and for all.

It’s great that you had a positive encounter. However, they are not all that way. Take some time to listen to some other, credible and honest peoples encounters. Some of them are the most overwhelmingly terrifying and negatively life changing situations you could ever imagine. Some seem to magically instill fear in an almost supernatural way. Fear that can not be matched by anything else those that experience it could imagine. I think there are different types of these creatures that are here for offering reasons and have drastically different agendas during chance encounters with human beings. So be thankful yours was a positive one, and understand that what happened to you is not necessarily what happens to everyone that sees these beings.

1969 we were camping in Watkins Glen, NY. Around 3 am. A tree about 13-15 tall slammed down on top of our camp fire. We all came out if our tents and notice the roots were still attached to the tree. Then a second tree came thru the darkness and landed on my cousins tent. Breaking his leg. My uncle grabbed his shot gun and emptied it into the dark forest. We all heard someone moving not 20 feet from us. Then a 3rd tree was thrown at us. We left.. left our camping gear and never returned. As we were leaving my uncle said no man could have ripped those trees out by the roots. And toss them like that into our camp site.
